A History of Celebrating Juneteenth in Charlotte

The history of #Juneteenth dates all the way back to June 19, 1865, but Charlotte has its own history of celebrating Juneteenth-thanks to Pape Ndiaye, owner of House of Africa in Plaza Midwood.
We recently caught up with him to learn more about the origins of the Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas and what residents can expect during the festivities from June 13-16, 2024.
