- The RG ARC-D from Anbernic is my new favorite retro handheld for fighting games. But, it's not without its problems.

Didn't know about all those andoid os mods so thanks for the heads up
Awesome news! Thanks for the video, downloading it now. I have the ARC without the second ROM card since I wanted to install them myself but on Linux side I was having problems recognizing and formatting the card so I am using Android side only at this point. This OS upgrade will help to streamline it a lot. You got a like and a sub!
Regards!
Really good guide
I wanted to flash it just for the scraper art option built in then go back to stock
And it works my stock rg arc s shows all screenshots now for my custom Roms
So far it’s a nice custom firmware
Bit buggy so once its finally finished I definitely flash back to it
Many thanks for your guide
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
how do i set the power options in daijisho as im only playing 16bit sega stuff
Hi! This cfw supports fat 32 in microsd 2 like the stock os ? Thanks
I tried to install this 3 times, already following the tutorial but after put sd card to TF1, it wont go to boot/installation screen. The screen just go black and now I can't boot to android at all. Any suggesstion?
Edit : Redownload the zip from github and now it works! I gues the one which I donwloeaded from the Gdrive was corrupted
Ive tried so hard to use the Retro Arena Beta build but something eventually goes wrong. I think I might give this one a chance and see how it goes until the community can get something viable going on the Linux side. Thank you for your video.
Glad you liked it!
The great thing about these different OSes is they're easy enough to reset if you end up not liking them. 😁
@@RetroResolve no kidding, the “game” is all the tinkering and optimizing. Definitely the funnest part for me.
@@eurosoe I'm exactly the same! The amount of fun you can have Not Playing is wild!
Hi, how long does it take for the SD tool kit to complete the re imaging of the sd card?
A while! If memory serves, it was about 10 to 15 minutes.
How much memory do you need in your SD Card for this install?
Does anyone know if its possible to play Sonic Mania on this device somehow?
I haven't got it on my device, but at a guess, maybe. I got it running on my PS Vita so it isn't outside the realms of possibility.
Does this improve performance? And how does this compare to Linux?
Not really, although it's been a while since I made this video so it could have improved.
I'd personally just stick with Linux for now though.
Any updates on this CFW?
Actually, yeah. There was a pretty big list of changes/features released at the end of January: github.com/TheGammaSqueeze/GammaOS-RK3566/releases
100% working?
Can this be installed on the RG Arc-S? I can't find anything confirming on whether this works on the S version or not. :(
no this is for android so wont work on the the linux side
@@leecollins5479 Yeah that's what I was afraid of, but considering it doesn't seem to improve the emulation much, I don't think I'm out of options yet.
Performance on Linux is SO much better though, so as of now this is cool but only good for any Android based games you want to play, like Sonic Robo Blast.
Yeah, but I can't setup syncthing to keep all my Games updated Crap
