  • Looking for a great beach around Sarasota Florida? Then take a Lido Key Beach Tour!
Are you looking to live an outdoor, active lifestyle in a relaxing, island setting? In this episode of Live2Give, we’re going to explore another island off the coast of Sarasota called Lido Key Beach. With two ways to enjoy the beach and plenty of activities to take advantage of, Lido Key is one island you have to check out.
Lido Key Beach in Florida is located smack dab in the middle between Siesta Key to the south and Longboat Key to the north. People love Lido Key because you can walk or bike ride to St. Armand's Circle. Additionally, downtown Sarasota is just 10 minutes away and it has a myriad of outdoor activities.
While it’s the smallest of the three barrier islands we're going to cover, there are two ways to enjoy the beach here. The first is Lido Beach and the second is Ted Sperling State Park, located on the south end of Lido Key Beach.

    About Sherri Mills:
Being a resident for over 30 years, I love Sarasota. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. And for almost 2 decades, I have been a Realtor. Helping people start the next chapter of their lives is one of the most rewarding experiences. But there was a part of me that wasn’t being fulfilled. See, I have overcome debilitating health issues and there were years where I didn’t know if I would ever feel good again. Well, I do now! I wake up every day deeply grateful not to be in chronic pain. I am rebooting and re-envisioning how I want to live my life. As Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” Because of Live2Give, I now get to do the job I love and make a difference all at the same time.

I am from Nassau Bahamas 🇧🇸 I love the beach dearly my family and I visit this beach this yesterday when we where leaving someone drove by and called me a F monkey. I know my black people from the Bahamas will never call a white person out of character.

I am absolutely horrified to hear this. This person is not reflective of our community. On behalf of Sarasota, I apologize.

I would like to see videos such as this one. I know nothing about places to see and explore within a 1-2 hour radius of the Port Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda area. I would like to do some things other than be stuck at home. I just don't know what to do!

I'm glad you liked the video, Jill. Check out the video I did on Selby Gardens. It has the largest orchid collection in the world and a magical place.

I sure wish you had mentioned the history of Lido Beach-I'm referring to the 1960's when local African-American residents were not allowed to swim in Lido Beach! However, the City Council was kind enough to build the Black citizens of Lido Beach area their very own community pool. Wasn't that nice of them?

How is the water there? Did the clarity come back yet?

I haven't seen unclear water so the answer would be yes, it is clear and beautiful.
