Personally I'll be getting a swivel basinet because I do plan to bottle/breast feed. Breast at night for comfort and bottle during the day (I have no idea how that'll work out though)
Everyone says "co sleeping has been shown to incraesd ghe risk of SIDS.." and then show the same qote about how sleeping in the same room AND in a seperate bed reduces risk of SIDS up to 50%... This qote can mean the sleeping in the same room causes less SIDS
your aware with suffocation and overheating how about when your baby is hypertermic your not even aware if your baby will be too cold you should make sure that you demonstrate it everything being first time parents is not that easyl esp when your alone raising your children this can lead through anxiety of a mum

That will work out just fine, plan to breastfeed more to give your baby the best nutritions
