I also had a 2.8 minimax in a Colorado.Was a slowpoke, but would consistently get 28 mpg. Had one too many emissions problems with it, including an entire transmission fail. After I put new transmission in it, trades it for the Ranger 2.3 ECB… Ford installed their procal tuner on it . WOW! What a quick peppy truck and will get 27 mph on any day of the week!

Several missing very important options that should have been included in the XLT model: glove box light, engine hood opening light to see engine compartment in the dark, and luminated visor vanity lights. This should have been included even if it cost a few more dollars.
I love everything he’s done to the Ranger, I’m a bigger fan of the smaller mid size trucks too. That exhaust sounds mean, & the with it leveled looks awesome. I feel the only thing that would be missing from it for me would be a proper stereo upgrade, not the B&O crap from the factory I’m talking like a full JL Audio system upgrade.
I would probably stick with the Ford performance tune that gives you 45 horsepower and 60 foot pounds of torque because when you try to Max out any engine that's turbo charged you going to run into problems but hey to each his own. And Ford backs their tune so its legit. Seen to many STI and what not blow internal parts from to much boost and not reinforcing the rest of the engine.

That's why I got a XLT fx4 and I don't like leather and I don't like the power seats since my wife's so short. I like to quickly slide my seat All the way back. And that lariat cluster is not me I like rpm analog.
The factory numbers are low. Several owners (myself included) over on Ranger5g are getting over 300hp with just 93 premium on stock trucks. Tunes will easily get you to 330-350hp. You are correct though, as that Ford performance tune will put you around 320-330hp on 93. No where near the 400hp claimed - i want to see dyno sheets and build specs to confrim that.
Yea the numbers are BS the Tq is not that far off tho. He also had the AFE cold air intake and the exhaust both those will give you 20+ combined. The HP number is not even close he would be lucky to get 350 lol
I know it's "cheaper" to get a bed liner added yourself outside of factory. But let's be real; 95% of us won't actually pay the extra money upfront to add the bed liner in after we purchase it from the factory.

The AFE can potentially add a kit 15hp, the exhaust Probably around 10hp or so and then the Tune adds about 35-45 hp at peak. So yeah definitely not anywhere close to 400hp. Tq I believe is close to 400

Ride is nice. A little bit floaty like a lincoln continental on the highway. Bumps and cracks non existent. A bit of side to side on speed bumps. But nothing to write home about. The brakes need bled from the factory in my opinion. And the downshift are pretty clumsy. But supposedly the tunes like 5 star fix that downshift. Overall it's a comfortable ride.

i have a PC and a fully done out ranger tremor, the PC doesn't actually provide HP but so worth it to fix the lag if you have a stock truck. I installed mishimoto CAI/intercooler pipes/bov to try to fix the lag before tuning.

I am sorry, it is not a “Baby Raptor” nor is the Tremor a “Daddy Raptor”. The beautiful thing about the Raptor is you have 450 HP, and a custom build suspension covered under warranty. The tune and suspension on the Ranger isn’t covered under factory warranty, matter of fact, the tune probably voids the factory warranty. The front leveling kit looks cool, but is it as good as the Raptor, which was designed for that truck? Probably not. Go hit some whoops in the desert and see how it does. It’s also missing paddle shifters, and the Sport, and Baja mode. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice truck, but it ain’t no Raptor.
Sorry Mark but you are misinformed. The suspension is from ford and is Fox suspension(like raptor) and the tune is from Ford as well. Also, this is a great video. I have a 2021 Race Red XLT Sport. I've added a Rough Country 2.5" level and have 1.5" FactionFab spacers. Once I'm through with the Bridgestone A/Ts I am definitely getting these tires - love the aggressive look. I'm still on the fence with the Raptor grille - it's a love/hate.
If you want speed, buy a Sport car like Ferrari or any muscle car close to the ground. But the reality you may lose your driver license for driving too fast! I don't recommend to buy a fast truck because they are not stable in curves. Think this fact, Ferraris and Lamborghinis are so close to the ground and their speed are 730hp. Remember "G" Force! The Fact, too fast you will hit a deer or another car. I do have a Raptor 2020 but I am not too crazy running! I flight Jets if I want SPEED! I like the Raptor because they are so well build, the shocks are very impressive and sooo comfortable to drive long trips in any terrain. It is wide to enjoy any adventures with friends and family!

I like the tune i have im running an e35 fuel mixture. My sport mode has become a drag mode and even in drive it hits like a jack hammer
