    Dr Harnet thank you for taking time to show why Africa is indeed ready for investors, you are doing Africa a lot of good by giving expert opinion on investment opportunities in Africa, now for those who disrespect Dr Harnet by saying they want to marry her, please we are in the 21st century and it is really sad when a person of Dr Harnet status is subjected to rude requests for marriage, i have gone to platforms for men doing what Dr Harnet is doing and at no time have i read of a woman trying to marry the male advisers, its time we respect our women, we can not afford to loose all our smart women to western countries, its time to level the playing field and give our very smart women a chance to make Africa an economic power house.

    Hello Dr Harnet.
    Your observation is balanced and not all praise. The Kenyan President has a lot of diaspora experience even in his own family has become a magnet for FDI. Also the previous lady stela Minister of Foreign Affairs has boosted investor confidence. Finally, the cancellation of their sitting President's elections was a bold statement of the independence of the Judicial system.
    Thank you for these insights

    We are a charity organization in South Korea.
    Currently, we are sending a large amount of books to Africa. We directly contract with DHL and FedEx to send books on a case-by-case basis. It's too expensive to send by plane, and there's also a waste of manpower to send it on a case-by-case basis.
    So we are looking for a company that can do co-work with us.
    1. You should be able to store a large amount of books (about 10,000 books).
    2. As the recipient of the book, you should be able to act on behalf of the customs duties.
    3. You should be able to deliver these books on a case-by-case across to Africa.
    We look forward to hearing from those who are interested.

All of those you mentioned are high in demand in Kenya with fantastic potential for export, too. My first advise would however be to focus on one or two before diversifying too early. The trees for Macadamia and avocado of course will take time to grow, so you can consider to inter-crop. I suggest you get in touch with the Kenya National Farmers Federation to see if they can assist with the kind of partnerships you seek.

    Dr Harriet thx.
    Unfortunately that ease of doing business and opening up the country to whoever, has attracted loan sharks from the silicon valley and Europe and betting companies from as far as China. This cannot happen in the same capitalist nations ( leading in the ease of doing business index) because of their protectionist policies.
    Companies coming in with an 'investment ' cloak but get busy siphoning out cash by bleeding the unsuspecting public dry through dubious undertakings should be vetted and deregistred. Other African countries should take note and safeguard their citizens than fall prey in the name of ease-of-doing-business .
    Precautionary measures should prevail.

    Absolutely love the attention you bring to the one area of the world.(Africa) that everybody overlooks to their detriment. But I also notice that you are rather over-oriented towards East Africa and ignoring the evn more promising Southern African region, which has more stability, stronger economic performance, and fewer terror threats. I wish you would also profile Botswana, Namibia, and Mozambique, which for me are more likely to produce the next investment upswing on the continent, certainly more so than West African (too much dependence on Daddy France / Belgium), north African (identify exclusively with Arabic / Muslim culture than black Africa) or east African countries (China obsession).

    • @dr.harnet466
      @dr.harnet466  5 років тому +2

      Dear Mobisa, a very valid point! I am promoting Southern African countries in my seminars and among my trainees. The reason I have not yet covered them in-depth on UA-cam is because I did not have the chance to travel there. As I write this I have established contacts to a state ministry of Namibia in charge of investment promotion...

    • @derrickbolyakwa6323
      @derrickbolyakwa6323 5 років тому +1

      What makes you think the South/Southern African region is more promising than the East/Eastern African region? What is your train of thought based on? Let’s look at the facts here
      1. South Africa’s economy grew by 1.3%
      2. Botswana’s economy grew by 4.4%
      3. Zimbabwe’s economy shrank by -5%
      4. Zambia’s economy grew by 2%
      5. Malawi’s economy grew by 3.7%
      6. Mozambique’s economy grew by 3.3%
      7. Namibia’s economy shrank by -2.3%
      Compare this to the Eastern African region where most economies are growing at a pace of 6% or more. For instance Ethiopia has had a solid 10 years averaging an annual economic growth of 10.3%
      As an investor if I look at the figures in the Southern African region and compare them to the ones in the Eastern African one, it goes without saying that I’d invest in Eastern Africa. Simple economics.

    Thanks for the expose on Kenya. Do note that Kenya has a large vibrant population making it a haven for investors since big markets facilitate faster ROIs and reduce risk. Also,, Kenya ranks highly in tech innovations. This has positioned the country as an innovation hub that's attracted Silicon Valley Start Ups ..
    Africa urgently needs to "let go " of the Chinese and do local manufacturing, since we have the AfCTA single trade market policy implementation in 2021.

      The HONEST truth is, you do NOT have the slightest clue what CORRUPTION is but you shamelessly READY to market your country, with it's fragile economy for the world that Kenya is "corrupt" so that "uonewe huruma/pity baiting" so that you get foreign "assistance".
      Look around you, all you see is
      a.) 5% aid
      b.) 95.5% raw Kenyan effort!
