I couldn't agree more. They are not even grateful for all they are given. It seems to me that they view our generosity as a weakness to be exploited. Never mind all the international agreements and conventions, we should return them to France. What's the worst thing that will happen?

Who needs a United Nations Consultant Doctor to tell us? Might I suggest 4-star hotels, free food, free medical and dental care, benefits, NO I/D cards, very lax deportation arrangements, legal systems which can be played like a concert grand piano including free legal aid and an army of lawyers eager to dip their bread into the legal aid fund.. Any other suggestions ???

A hotel near us is full of male immigrants some Afghans and some Somali males ,it's a lovely hotel on a river and has a gym and they walk around chatting with their mobile phones looking quite happy,that's a good advert for them in Calais!
We need to change the law: you shouldn't be allowed to claim asylum if you've paid to come here illegally.
That is the law though, whether or not they get some kind of amnesty is another thing entirely
What we should do is send them all elsewhere apart from 20% of the hard working labour, then march up to parliament and demand that we raise their taxes to 30% - 40% and make Indigenous brits tax exempt

Why the different standards? I paid my way, passed all the tests, bought every book, paid up my NI contributions and became a British citizen. However, I agree that the 5 year mark may put some off, but not many.

We are paying the French to stop the boats from their side but they aren't making any effort to stop them because if they let them come to Britain the immigrants are off their hands and it then becomes our problem. The average person in the street knew the answer to this donkeys' years ago, including those like me with no formal qualifications, degrees or anything. The only people this is not blindingly obvious to is those in Government: we are far too ready to give out free accommodation that millions here can only ever dream of, it's the free and no-questions-asked medical care that millions have to wait form it's the dental treatment that millions here can't get.
