I am in USA and have prescription version of wayfarers and I love the AI. I go back and forth to Central America and I use the AI to translate signs, menus etc. I just got access to advanced voice mode in ChatGPT and I set up the iPhone action button to open a new chat and you can chat with glasses which is neat as well.
Hey Meta, can you show me how to build a yurt from uncooked spaghetti? “Yeah sure no problem” Hey Meta, can you film in horizontal please? “I’m sorry Dave, I can’t do that.”
hi there i just wanted to leave a comment to say how good your content has been on the meta glasses i have only just got them so am trying to find out information and by far yours has been the most useful so thank you very much 😊
The RayBan Meta is the device I use the most to record videos 🕶️ more than my iPhone on vacation, more than the Pocket 3 and the GoPro even for running and working out I’m not using my AirPods Pro anymore. I love to play with my child and save some memories digitally without interrupting our interaction.
This might be the comment I've been looking for - many of these Influencers have young kids and I know there are lots of geeky dads who want seamless ways to capture their kid's special moments (influencers are either missing a trick here or they have been told to stay away from the idea of capturing kids as that conversation out of the context of being a parent becomes scary and a PR nightmare). Iphones are fine but they are not hands free which is vital when you have a toddler. Apple with the Vision Pro tried to sell us capturing the kid's memories relieved in spatial video but in practice, you have scary socially unacceptable and stupidly expensive ski goggles. Anyway thank you as this may have been the comment that pushes me into the rayban store
I returned mine because I was unaware of the bright light that comes on when you take pics. I was taking photos while I was hiking and I am sure that people felt that air was taking photos of them.
Great to see a video demonstrating the actual LLM experience. This will get better over time but it's not for me. It has the whole Alexa vibe going on (privacy, stiff interaction). OpenAI should makes some glasses as their LLM is more natural sounding
Finally someone made a review about whether the ai features will work outside North America with a vpn, thank you so much🙌🏾 do you still need to be connected to the vpn for it to work after using it to update the firmware?
This is amazing Tamara. I'm definitely gonna buy these. Very ideal for a birthday or Christmas present. I know I don't say it often but you Truely are a amazing content creator. You always tell us stuff in detail and everything we wanna know.
I'm getting Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in a couple of weeks. I've been wearing Ray-Ban Stories, which was Gen 1 from 2 years ago. I haven't turned it on due to the battery health gradually dying.
Can anybody talk about the effects of all the wireless devices we are going to put on ourselves 🤔 I know our society is going towards 5G wireless on everything but I can tell myself just wearing my AirPods I do get headaches ! 😢
Very nice video.. i suppose meta can do better.. does it learn? i mean if (i am inventing an example) i tell it: watch for people with green eyes.. will it tell me: i spotted someone with green eyes to your left, 10 feet away? or does it not interact like that? And if i tell et keep on telling me if you spot someone for the next week... will it remember that?
Well so it seems you need a lot of hustle to make it work with VPN, pay for the VPN and then...it doesn't even recognize the car or cant help. That sounds like poor investment :)
So, when you ask it what you see, it tells you the obvious. Only it takes longer than you would to figure it out, and over time your brain turns to mush because you've forgotten how to think for yourself. This is not a good idea.
@@rhianlewis2708 The vision impaired don't need to buy expensive Rayban glasses. Or for that matter wander down the isle of a supermarket. And you don't actually need the glasses to use such technology, you just need a camera and a microphone and a speaker. These products aren't really targeted at the hearing impaired they're targeted at spoiled rich kids with money to burn.

@@rhianlewis2708 Is your child vision impaired? Because if not then there's no reason for them to be wearing a pair of glasses. Especially high price rayban glasses. I didn't say there wasn't a good application for technology like this, especially for people who need help. But these videos don't show people with disabilities, they show yuppies with gadgets standing in the isle and saying stuff like "show me a recipe for this", like that's not annoying to the other people around them. I'm an engineer, I love technology, but I know when a company is trying to sell me stuff I don't need. If you need it, then you need it, but most don't need this. I understand you're having an emotional reaction because of your circumstances, but if you calm down a little you might understand my point.

The speakers are surprisingly good
Yeah I rarely use AirPods Pro anymore unless I need noise cancellation.

No, it still worked with the vpn was off.

Hey Tamara, which glasses do you prefer ? Cheers

Nice! The newer ones have pretty decent battery life, so hopefully it'll make a big difference to you from the first gen.
I'm in EU and I cannot even find a place to BUY the glasses themselves.
Thank you so much for your video. I’ve just downloaded the app and everything is working fantastic on my Rayban Matt glasses.
🙌🏾
Not working with VPN nord in Dubai , UAE

I have the Meta's also. How is the "look and tell" feature helpful in a practical sense, though?

The VPN definitely comes in handy for way more than just using it to update the glasses, so it's not a poor investment at all.
Its response feels really slow and annoying
honestly the glassses look meh , the concept looks good in theory
If you use it you will see how cool they are…

Hi Tamara. This issue is your accent. You're using the American version. It's having a hard time understanding you... LoL ♥️🙏🌞📸

how inconsiderate are you ? have you considered how useful this is to those who’s vision is impaired? please consider others before passing judgement
