Bob Uecker is the BEST! Over the years there's been some iconic announcers. From Harry Carey to the Voice of the Dodgers, Vin Scully. Brian Anderson is another really good announcer as well, but Bob Uecker has been the voice of the Milwaukee Brewers for decades. His calls have been absolutely incredible. His, "Get up get up, get outta here, a Homerun for (insert players name here.). I was so lucky to have met Mr.Uecker during the late 70's and early 80's. After games you could wait in the players parking lot for them after the games. Bob Uecker was ALWAYS so decent and nice to us kids. He is truly a Hall of Fame announcer, as well as a really great person.
Bob Uecker is the one person(one of many) who deserves to see the Brewers win a World Series! It would be EPIC to hear Bob Uecker call a Brewers win! They need to give Mr. Uecker that honor. He has been here through all of the good and the bad. From Bambi's Bombers to Harvey's Wallbangers. The days of Rene Lachman, Buck Rogers, and others. Bob has been the consistent one who never gets down on this team. He always has a way of exciting the crowd! They call Bob Uecker, "Mr.⚾️Baseball⚾️" and he truly is, but he is also Mr. Brewer too! Thank you Bob for your dedication, your incredible talents, and your great sense of humor!
@@EdsterIII Lets not forget what a talent he was OFF the field too. Mr Belvedere, and of course, Harry Doyle _"Juuuust a bit outside. Tried the corner and missed"_
Rhys Hoskins back with the Homerun! We need his power to get 🔥🔥hot🔥🔥 for the last half of the season. If Wily Adames, Rhys Hoskins, Christian Yelich get a power surge that could really help this beat up Pitching staff. G9 BREWERS!!!!!
One thing that's still bugging me. I understand that they need to have the Starting Pitchers on a pitch count, but 5 innings? Again with all of the injuries the Brewers have had, DL Hall, Woodruff (which we knew about), plus other pitchers we signed as free agents. Plus our closer is still out. I can still remember when some Starting Pitchers had between 5 and 15 Complete Games. Nowadays if your have 2 or 3 Complete games you might have the league lead. It's crazy, but nowadays pitchers are a extremely valuable commodity.
In fairness, the talent gap between relief pitchers and starters is smaller than ever. Back in the day, your starter was leagues ahead of anyone in the bullpen, so if they were able to stay in games, they did. These days, the jump in opponent batting average when facing the starter for the 3rd time (3rd time through the rotation) is actually higher than the league average for hitters facing bullpens. So it's more than just pitch counts, it's that hitters have gotten so good at adjusting once they've seen what a pitcher has that day. I've heard that some teams are even using VR that loads in actual pitches from the starter they'll be facing that day so before the game, hitters can actually see the pitches they'll be facing that game, which would explain why the jump in batting average is what it is after facing a pitcher a few times....they've likely already had an "at bat" or two against him before the first pitch is even thrown.

How is Uecker still so sharp and quick with his commentary when he’s 190 years old?
When your a legend…. Your a legend 👑
I will miss him when he’s gone. One of the last greats of the past.
He reminds me when Tony Bennett was still alive and touring. That’s Bob
... and with a contract written in the ink of a handshake.
