The real reason why Reginald betrayed Henry in the “The Betrayed” ending: He was scared that the Toppat Clan would have another bad leader that would put the clan in risk again, Henry wasn’t a good leader at first before Betrayed, Toppat King and Toppat 4 Life (which both TK and T4L shows his loyalty to the clan and gives him the real respect of a real leader because of the efforts he did to protect them) In the betrayed ending, Henry called literally the entire clan to help him escape The Wall which shows he had the balls to put the entire clan in risk, Reginald betrays him and ya know what happens in Revenged
This actually makes me feel bad for Reginald. He almost lost someone he deeply cared for, so he wanted revenge. But here's the thing, he didn't account for the fact that Henry could be salvaged like his Right-Hand Man could. He didn't account for the fact that Henry would want the same kind of vengeance as he himself once wanted. By betraying Henry, Reginald lost not only the person he cared for, but everything he worked for, and everyone who cared for him. Reginald realized that revenge was a bittersweet poison, but realized it all too late. "Well... You got it. Was it... **cough** Worth it..?"
RHM gets um um shot out of exist by henry. Reginald die from bleeding out. Sad R.I.P all of them. bey top hats🎩. And not to forget charles R.I.P charles.
I just realized, Henry was kind of a douche in this. He comes in, terrorizes the clan, murders the right hand man (or near does), then instead of just killing reginald, he attempts to murder the entire tophat clan. Im not really sure if we were the heroes in this after all, even if Regineald did betray us... it was kind of justified.
He betrayed Henry because he didn't respect him. In the ending where he leads the Top Hats, Reginald almost does the same thing, only in this timeline, he doesn't, "I saw you out there, you risked everything to save the clan" That's where Henry earned Reginald's Respect

You know what they say: Everyone's the hero of their own story. And that slimy weasel _would_ spin his own tale to make himself look... perhaps not better but less bad, especially with his right hand man (literally) being torn to shreds and rebuilt. I'm not saying Henry is innocent. This is extremely well done; through Reginald's eyes, this is either how he'd see the events unfold or how he'd tell his story. While in the games, we only have Henry's POV. RHM's would be even more wildly different from the two of them, I'd imagine. For Reginald and Henry, it's been a struggle for power and freedom, but RHM was... well, _not._ He was the narrative equivalent to a speedbump, and despite his ferocious loyalty to Reginald, half of the endings in CtM BEGIN with Reginald in jail, a quarter begin with Reginald having been almost imprisoned, and there's a whole ending where they just die after RHM rescues him (TCW). Even his own almost-death turned into Reginald's pity-winning scheme, as stated above. It's funny how many angles you can look at 2D stick figure villains in.

This is my second time commenting but idc Both deaths were completely justified In Reginald’s POV, he was stripped of his leadership by a random stranger who broke in and also happened to kill his best friend, so no kidding he wanted to drop Henry into a river, but still he has proved to respect Henry as a leader, so Henry had to die, as he caused chaos in his life In Henry’s POV, he was just a kleptomaniac who wanted someone to relate and talk to, so that’s the reason why he wanted leadership, and his survival instincts took over when he killed RHM, if he hadn’t acted in defense, he would’ve died himself. In the ItA RPE aftermath, the toppats seem to take a liking to his leadership, so generally he isn’t a bad leader. Since he had betrayed the government, he had no option but to call the Toppats, but he was left to die, and shot again while taking him revenge. Soo Reginald’s death was completely justified It just depends on the POV you’re looking through just to see the story in their view, whether it’s fair or not. Then we can see the full picture in front of us

I betrayed Henry only for one reason, because I knew that Henry did not deserve leadership, but only to save the rest of the Toppat Clan members from destruction or surrender to the military. Therefore, later I had to get rid of him and eventually restore the Right Hand Man.

Def(OC): Bro i'm on both sides on a day to day basis and have formed a pretty close bond with everyone. [Litterally died multiple times in order to prevent the death of every other person at the moment that they woulda died] and nah cauz honestly i think i spend more time hanging out with my brother and the rest of the clan than i do at camp. Which makes sense because being close to family is nice and he's really the only biological family i got left.

I betrayed Henry only for one reason, because I knew that Henry did not deserve leadership, but only to save the rest of the Toppat Clan members from destruction or surrender to the military. Therefore, later I had to get rid of him and eventually restore the Right Hand Man.

Def(OC): Bro i'm on both sides on a day to day basis and have formed a pretty close bond with everyone. [Litterally died multiple times in order to prevent the death of every other person at the moment that they woulda died] and nah cauz honestly i think i spend more time hanging out with my brother and the rest of the clan than i do at camp. Which makes sense because being close to family is nice and he's really the only biological family i got left.
