Yes, he hits the keeper, but he gets the ball first and the keeper hits him. There is no excessive force, so the only thing you can argue is that he stamps on the keeper as he gets up, but for me it seems like a completely natural movement. So, no, I am not joking.

Always this. When I began trying out for GK the first thing my dad taught me was that if I was going to contest a ball by jumping up and grab it, you stick your leg/knee out. People seem to forget that players will be barreling at you full speed sometimes and expect GK's to just get steamrolled and injured

This referee called a great game. He has great game management. What I mean is he only showed cards when he needed to. Even though it’s a hard foul, doesn’t mean it’s reckless. I am a referee and I don’t tend to show many YC or RC. I am a very mild manner referee and I talk to the players and let them know what they did wrong.

This match is strange, you can really catch if the teams playing are Americans or European/South Americans. The game seems way more strict and bold here, no outrageous counter attack and not many good shots, seems like they believe they need to run into the goal with the ball 😂

I'll be frank. The more footage I see of Crawford HS, the more apparent it is. San Diego has a issue when it comes to different styles of play and players that don't necessarily play or look like European futbol. When you assign an official they should be able to handle this diversity. This crew was not at the level/standard for this match. Several critical match incidents in the match is evidence of these claims. This is two years in a row where the key players from Crawford have to be carted off due to players not being protected by the officials. I hope this gets cleaned up before the MLS team comes to town...

That has to be some of the worst football i’ve ever seen. Do they not teach players how to be smooth with the ball in the feet? Everyone seems so flat footed and sloppy, no control whatsoever, everything seems so forced.
It’s Americans, no soul, no passion, no pride for the badge, I wasn’t even sure whether this is college or hs or division fotball because where I’m from in Europe this is not senior level at all, must be high school. They play like kids without any idea what they are doing. He gets to the ball first, which then careens off the keeper's left side and goes out of bounds. The keeper and attacker both made a 50/50 play on the ball. They collided. There shouldn't even be a foul given, much less a yellow card. But amateur referees seem to think goalies are protected... which they aren't. Fouling a goalie is the same as fouling any other player on the field. In this case, it was a 50/50 ball and the players collided while both getting a touch on the ball. That's why I think it's a soft yellow. Not because it was a soft collision, but because it shouldn't have been called as a foul.

If the ref can't handle a rowdy crowd then he shouldn't be a soccer ref. If you can't understand that those types of crowds are part of the game of soccer/football then that's one of reasons why the game here in U.S is levels behind other countries and why we can't compete at the highest levels. Watch soccer from other countries and being rowdy is normal.
