Bang PD was there as judge, along with Son Seungdeuk (BTS' choreographer, he was also with the I-LAND boys in the practice room), RAIN, ZICO... and TXT was also there with BTS! This show was AMAZING!!
Bang PD chose the contestants and was not allowed to rate them but had to stay neutral because he is the ceo of HYBE LABELS and therefor can't have favorites. He gave positive feedback to them though :)

This performance was when the I-LAND dropouts surprised the finalists and visited them in I-LAND when they were preparing for their final test. Then they started learning this song together and performed it on the final live show. 3:57 those are the 9 finalists who go to the stage later and the people performing before them are the dropouts :) I really recommend you to watch I-LAND, it's an amazing show that makes you go through tons of emotions

band pd actually wrote the song!! as for this ngl i cried watching this LMFAO i-land was emotional damage ngl, the second group of boys who came out were all of enhypen as well as k and daniel the final 9, they let all of them perform one more time together, TXT and BTS were both there for the entirety, if you ever have time i recommend watching it, a lot of ilanders have debuted or are going to debut soon as well, bang pd was there as a judge for each performance through out the entire show, i think BTS & TXT were there for support although i feel like it could've made it more stressful ngl LOL especially towards the end there was a good chunk of crying
You need to watch the whole of I-land it’s so amazing it’s so wholesome on how they all become friends and had such an amazing journey you will love it!! Iu covered it it wasn’t by her she coverd it it was made for I-land by the producers also it’s 23 not 22. You need to watch flicker on iland and dive into you!! 2 amazing performances and I&credible (final version) and Flame on
J-HOPE was literally their biggest fan boy! He watched it with all of us. He knew all the contestants. BTS came on the show to give them advice and left them gifts. They were there the last eps to see who their new little brothers were. I watched Island from the First to last eps. To watch Enhypen be formed was an emotional roller coaster. Most satisfying moment for me was watching NIKI beat the odds! From the 1st eps he caught my eye. I think the right members were picked. I was sad for Hanbin and K though.
Both BTS and TXT were there I watched to whole series it was very good. There were some that did not make but Bighit made a new boy group the will dabute in Japan from people who did not make it into the group🙂💜
u know Enha members called PD Bang "Si Hyuk-nim" in a playful way and cheorographer Son Seungdeuk "Mandu-nim" which means sort of dumpling. PD Bang certainly care for them but Son Seungdeuk is even more close with the guys cuz he was a mentor in iland. He was about to cry when the trainees gave him a hand written letter board during iland. and considering the fact that BTS' former manager who's famous among ARMY is also Enha's head manager since predebut, i'm pretty they are pretty much under the HYBE team as in the ones who handle original BigHit artists unlike other labelmates. Also HYBE rebranding thing only happened after the first part of iland. Which means iland was initially a project under BigHit entertainment and CJENM, and not just HYBE in general.
i remember watching this every saturday two years ago. ( i watched it on viki or something so they came out one day after they premiered). and i literally cried during this performance. like this show ripped at my heart strings.
This was BangPD’s project - he selected all 23 contestants - ENHYPEN is his group and the BTS production team mentored the contestants throughout - you really should give it a proper watch from start to finish especially since the resulting debut group(s) should be on your reaction radar. TXT is also there along with BTS
seeing this now gives me chills. almost all of them (we don't talk about Youngbin because he's suposidly a piece of shit) ended up debuting. there's only like 4 or 5 that I couldn't find anything about what happened with them. they all ran for there dreams and most of them did accomplish them.
You might not have time to react to all the I-Land episodes but it is a very interesting series. I didn't watch them "live" when viewers were allowed to vote but did watch the entire recorded series. It is a fascinating look at how the members of Enhypen were chosen. Since I already knew who the members were, it was interesting to see what they were going through. All the contestants were being judged from the very beginning by heavy hitters in the industry. I followed a couple of my favorites who did not make it as Enhypen. Some were successful in other groups.
