    Hi Mynda, really useful and clever tutorial which is clearly explained. Thank you. With regard to your source data you could consider copy and "paste as linked picture".

      Thanks, Paul! Yes, absolutely use Linked Pictures if you prefer. I find they sometimes look a bit blurry, so I usually prefer to put my workings on another sheet.

    Beautiful chart. Thank you for showing that and the conditional formatting.

    An easily overlooked strategy would be number formatting. That can change both the colour and the symbol; I let democrats code to 1, republicans to 2 and other seats 0. The prettiest results might be the scatter chart though. I enjoyed your solutions though and the array functions have the advantage of being dynamic.

    Excellent tutorial Mynda! It is a very little used type of graphic, but I think it is very illustrative.

    Is there anything you can't do in Excel? Everytime I watch your videos my doubts grow stronger :-) BTW, thank you for your tip on fixing conditional format rules. Now they work fine and pasting as values have become my personal matra, too!

      Next week I'll show you how to build a waffle chart using a stacked bar chart! Hopefully you'll find it useful.

    Great stuff, although the chart is dynamic, the same information written in the text box isn’t - is there of making it dynamic, or just relie on the orignal source?

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Karon! You can link the text box to a cell that contains a dynamic label, but you can't colour code it like I did with this example.

    Why does the formula in cell B7 of the SEQUENCE Alternative Sheet =COLUMNS($A1:A$10)+10*(ROWS($A1:$A$10)-1) evaluate to 91 instead of 99?

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  3 роки тому

      Hi Joan, the numbering is from left to right, bottom to top. The top left cell is 91 and the top right cell is 100. It's supposed to be this way.

    Could you not just copy the dot symbol into format cells for positive values, and then use the same conditional formatting for both absolute charts? Still very cool, nevertheless.
