Conversion pounds to grams

To anyone watching this video--when I convert the kg to g I made an error and came up with 3454 grams as my answer. The answer at the end of the video is correct, once it has been converted to scientific notation, but the answer in grams should have been 3450 grams. I will edit as soon as possible. Thanks!

Yes, but it's not commonly taught in the U.S. More work to do it the longer way, but also uses conversions we have already required students to memorize.

Those are mathematically the same so either would be acceptable, though it is better to use scientific notation so the number of significant figures is defined.

It wouldn't really be that simple, this is because if we go back to the metric system it would cost way too much money, plus if a president disliked it, they could make us go back to the system. But I do agree, we should really change to the metric system.
