Chris, i just bought this engine from nicholas smiths last week, and thought the same thing you did about the color of the tender when i unboxed it. I took the locomotive to lowes and had the paint department match the paint of the cab, i loaded it into my spray gun, and now there both identical. Beautiful engine, great review as always
Great video and review, Chris. Does your E6 wobble? I just received a new one and it pitches and rolls like a boat in a gentle swell. I haven't tried adding weight up front (an online forum recommendation), as I'm reluctant to open her up if it's a factory flaw that a service center would fix under warranty. Would appreciate your ideas.
Bruce Gamble luckily mine does not! I wasn’t even aware of this issue (probably because I wasn’t looking for a fix!). That would be a return to Lionel for sure. May take time, I know the mogels took a while before a remedy was available. The only issue I’ve had was the lack of builder plate and no O scale dummy coupler.
C. Perry no this engine does not have cylinder steam. It has whistle steam smoke effect. The Milwaukee S3 is the only engine in recent catalogs with cylinder steam (that I can remember at this point)
Eric Welch I believe it was a QA oversight. I reached out to Lionel and they told me to contact them a couple of months once replacement parts become available. Pretty disappointed with the response, however the engine otherwise is great.

Great video
is the back truck on the locomotive hinged or fixed?
Emilio Camacho hinged
@@ChrissTrainsandThings thank you so much
Great review. I love this engine.
What passenger cars are you pulling and do you get the same effects ruining conventional minus crew chatter?
Very nice video! Love unboxings! Great little engine
Sweet engine, well worth the wait! Congrats and thanks!

I have one from 2005 it started doing the wobble when I changed the traction tires
Nice layout !! Great video !
does that engine have cylinder steam because it says it does on the description of the engine

Does this engine have builder plates on the boiler? I am shocked if it does not. Even Rail King Imperials have builder plates

Just subscribed. Very nice!
Thank god the whistle's going to smoke and they finally produced them. Just waiting for my Long Island to ship in.
Nichol Floyd I got the Long Island in 2 days ago. It’s awesome!
My supplier's always a tad bit delayed, plus my Birthday is on Tuesday, you know how families like to delay presents.
Nichol Floyd yes I do. Happy birthday
And wouldn't you know I recived it yesterday as a defect. No cab glass windows and the whole soundboard only makes a faint radio static.
Where did you get those Strasburg cars?
MPT 1225 I got these at York from the Nicholas Smith Trains stand.
Chris's Layout ah nice. I guess u wouldn’t be able to get a set since three were at york
MPT 1225 they are made by MTH so you might be able to find them from a dealer.
Chris's Layout alright thank you.
Looking good.
Just subscribed. Beautiful engine. Al
Nice!!!
Little odd for a steamer to be talking on a radio
