The song speaks of a businessman who stays in top hotels and travels to the best cities around the world, but dreams of something else. Dreams of being a singer, a writer, an actor etc.
The song is about a millionaire businessman who said he always wanted to be an artist. She was in Paris singing mostly in French, her first language. But she could already speak English by then. Her best performance on that concert is when she sings "Calling you", which will blow you away.
I love this era of Celine! 💕💕💕 Such an outstanding performance. Le Ballet is a really good French song of hers too. I would recommend a live performance of that song...I think in 2017 would be a great one to watch. Loved this! Thanks for the videos today, so glad you got them back to be able to share with us! ✌🏻🙏🏼🤍
The song was written by the singer-author Claude Dubois who is a legend here in the province of Quebec( canada). He wrote many songs and has a 40 years+ singing career. Her first language is french and she already spoke english in 1995. If you notice, when she sings in french, she sings " higher' than in English. Thank you for choosing this fabulous song. 😊😊
UA-cam showed me another one of your reactions to Céline. This song is from a French "musical" (un opéra-rock) lyrics written by Luc Plamondon and composed by Michel Berger. The show was written in the 70s and was a HUGE success Quebec and in France. In the early 90's Céline released an album called " Dion chante Plamondon" where all the songs were either exiting song or NEW song written by Luc Plamondon. Le Blues Du Businessman was written in the show for a man and Céline recorded it and made it a huge hit again... with her powerful vocals. The arrangements were re-worked for this tour and it truly is in my opinion the best version of this song... I would say she elevated it to new heights and the original singer was AWESOME so it says a lot about Miss Dion ... wink. This concert LIVE a Paris contains some AMAZING live performances. Glad you are discovering more and more about Céline.
@@thisisdnareacts5237 she has tons of surprising vocals... here are a few fun ones... Stand by me done tongue in cheek in the kitchen of a restaurant ( the guy is a pro musician not a real bus boy LoL ) ua-cam.com/video/3JF9J9MlYE0/v-deo.html then there is this gem I heard her sing this live a few time and my jaw waas oon the floor every time. She was to release this but some boy band had a version of it and opted to only sing it live ua-cam.com/video/-vo3x4KQG6w/v-deo.html
This song is about a businessman wishing he was an artist, an actor, an author so that he can reinvent his life. He is having the blues, so that is why it is called in french : Le blues du businessman.
My favourite performance of this song. One of my favourite french songs. When you hear the audience sing back to her it makes me smile. This was from 1995, Live A Paris is the concert, live at the Zenith Theatre. You guys should watch the whole show - great mix of french and english. Its still my favourite concert of hers. Crazy to think she was having voice trouble at the time. Had to have injections so she could do these shows, purely because the two nights were being filmed. She sounded amazing.
Of course I can’t understand the language but I really liked the song and the performance also the video was really good. Another great song, #CelineDionTuesdays
The breath control this song takes is crazy!
Right 😊❤️❤️❤️
One of her best performances ever🏆🥇

This woman have some breath control is nothing normal.....she has been really God given talent that she mastered

Her resonance is just too much!!! Thanks for reacting to this performance!

Yes she already had an English career by this time. This was during her “Power of Love” era. ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
And only a year before the famous "all by myself" and "because you loved me" era!

Actually at this stage of her career she already knew English not for very long but could have a regular interview in English
If you've watched Dimash singing SOS, this song by Céline is from the same 1976 opera-rock production called "Starmania"

I'm successful in business
I'm successful in love
I often change my secretary
My office is at the top of a tower
From there I see the city upside down
From there I control my universe
I spend half my life in the air
Between New York and Singapour
I always travel in first class
I have my secondary residence
In all the Hiltons of the Earth
I can't stand poverty
Are you happy at least?
I'm not happy but I look it
I lost my sense of humor
Since I have business sense
I made it and I'm proud of it
In fact, I only have a single regret
I'm not doing what I wanted to do
What do you want old friend
In life we do what we can
Not what we want...
I wanted to be an artist
To be able to do my act
When the plane lands on the runway
In Rotterdam or in Rio
I wanted to be a singer
To be able to scream who I am
I wanted to be a writer
To be able to fabricate my life (bis)
I wanted to be an actor
To change skin everyday
And to be able to think I'm handsome
On a big colored screen (bis)
I wanted to be an artist
To have the world to remake
To be able to be an anarchist
And live like a millionaire (bis)
I wanted to be an artist
To be able to say why I exist
Please react to Celine Dion Des mots qui sonnent, le fils du superman, Je crois toi, Ma force, À vous, Parler à mon père, encore un soir etc
Some of these are coming soon ❤️
