Bro, so many things going on and I'm just recording things. My editing queue keeps growing and I keep pushing ones to a later date as new things happen. Plus the holidays I'm planning to slow on the editing just to relax and chill so more edits pile up. All good though. It's fun sharing things and discussions start. It's our birthday month. Happy birthday to us
100% agreed. I was in the same boat when I bought my 21 Plaid S new and end of Dec 22 buying my MYP. Lost tons of money but tis the car biz sometimes. I agree with liking the R1T more myself, looks wise, but the Cybertruck is prob overall a much better engineered vehicle so I will stick with that. If the Rivian was a lot cheaper might be diff story and I would be in one now haha. I don’t like waiting …….
Yes, if that quad drops in price by $20K. If I had to choose between long range Cybertruck and dual motor R1T for the same price, I easily will pick the Cybertruck. Even if it's new truck with plenty of unknowns, the software behind it is much better and "supported" than Rivian - even though RIvian does have updates to their software. Waiting isn't a big deal right now. We have cars to drive. Unlike in previous situations when we're down to one car.
I just decided to get full body gloss PPF on my ultra red. It's such a deep glossy red, felt like enhancing gloss was the way to go for me. Cool to see how it looks with stealth wrap though. Good look as well.
Hey Sherwin, Remember you were talking about the vibration at 30-40 could it be that when you accelerate fast at 30-40 mph and you come close to the divided paint lines and the car is giving you a vibration warning, I think that happen to me today.
Oh no, you are getting it now? Well, if you can figure out the pattern to replicate it, you can submit a service ticket so they can take a look. Ours have been off and on. It doesn't happen all the time. The vibrations on the divided paint lines is a warning that you're leaving your lane. Should be your steering wheel vibrating and trying to assist you to steer in the "correct" direction. This setting can be a chime also or no indicator at all. Is this what you mean?
All the interior options for S and X are great. But for me cream is my top choice, white is second, and black is third. I do miss the walnut finish in the long range. The Plaid replaces it with carbon fiber. I do like the black stitching on the seats too. It adds a nice contrast.
I noticed that as well but we shall see. I would like the white interior upgrade if available but idk haha I have picked the white interior on every Tesla I have owned so maybe time for a change
We have done white or cream interior in all our Tesla except our first Model Y with the 7 seater. Abby didn't want white because it was hard to clean. We had a M3LR at that time with white. I told her it's easy to clean. I guess it's just she doesn't want to clean it haha. But even black gets dirty, it's just you won't know coz it hides it. As much as I'm not too happy with the Cybertruck announcements, if they come ringing my doorbell for delivery, I may just get it haha. But sooner or later that price is gonna come down and I'll be stuck in the same situation as my MYP "overpaying". I do like the R1T more but there's things the Cybertruck has that I know I would enjoy using and having.
Looks great 👌🏼, love my XPEL stealth on my S Plaid and X Plaid. Like how you mixed it up a little with the mirrors and rear spoiler 👍🏼. If my Cyberbeast ever arrives haha I want to do that in Satin white.
Yes, we usually get the side mirrors wrapped and spoiler. Satin white will look nice on the Cybertruck. But I thought they would have white interior options. Been going back to the website and still no configuration for it. If I will keep my preorder, I may opt for the long range. We'll see. But ya, it may take some time before my place in line.
I think their PPF service costs around $5500-6K. My wife paid for it. We also got some things added like the carbon fiber wraps and some interior PPF that we have to come back for and have them do. Congrats on the order. What config/trim did you get?
I’m getting my ultra red windows tinted today! I will not get PPF it’s way too expensive. Just keep ceramic polish on it and don’t follow trucks close and you’ll be fine
Ceramic polish? Don’t follow trucks too close kids… because only trucks kick up debris.😅 first it’s ceramic coating. Ceramic coating will do nothing for rock protection.
@@DerekG35 Adams makes CS3 which is a ceramic spray coating. Bugs don’t stick to your paint and in Florida there are love bugs and all kinds of bugs that will damage and stick when the sun bakes it into your paint. This stuff is amazing
@@Anthony__420 clueless. Spray on ceramic. Yes because car wax didn’t exist until Adam’s invented it. Real ceramics aren’t spray on. You bought water in a spray bottle with .0001 % ceramic “polish” in it. Did you spend the couple of hours to actually polish the paint and prepping it for a coating? Google how much a ceramic coating costs done by a pro.
Nice. We haven't tinted ours yet. Not in a rush at the moment since it's not too hot. This time of the year is so busy with holidays and all. I stopped by my friend's tint shop. He's gonna be out for a month. So I either try to get in a schedule in the next couple of weeks or I'll have to see beginning next year. Debris just doesn't come from trucks. Sadly, my Model Y hood was struck with a rock that came from the other side of the freeway. I have a video on Instagram instagram.com/p/CyjGm64Rhrs/ I haven't done content on it because I haven't figured out what I'm going to do. Even if I had PPF on the MYP I think this rock would either penetrate it or would still dent the hood, or both. Video on that is coming soon. What % of tint are you planning to get and are you going to tint all the windows even the rear? We usually do 50% in the rear and 40% in the front to try to stay close to the stock look. I have video on our previous X as well.
Thank you. There “shouldn’t” be any damage to the paint if maintained and removed “properly”. The PPF has a 10 year manufacturer warranty. The install has 1 year. Anything beyond first year, we would pay for labor if issue is covered by warranty.
I will give my spot for cybertruck. Order now delivery date this December or January 2014 1st week. Let me know if want my spot early delivery 👍😊 There extra $1k off from aside from $7,500 tax rebate & from clean air vehicle
Thanks, but I may not be ready for a car note right now. I still have my reservation and hoping by the time it's my turn in line, prices have gone down and/or more information has been shared about ownership.
Sherwin Buddy, I’m just going to be brutally honest with you. I think you ruin the look of your beautiful Ultra Red MX. But I wanted to share my thoughts because you asked us to comment about the ppf and i dont like it at all. You took a “ Mona Lisa” and covered it in DULL red plastic.
Hey no problem. Thanks for the feedback. They have a glossy finish option but we went with this finish. One bad thing with matte/satin finish is the dust shows up more easily.
Man you’re cranking out the videos🎉

this looks so good sherwin thanks for the video! wasn’t big on it but now i’m considering cream interior after seeing how good it looks in some videos

Thank u
Looks good Sherwin!
At least the paint is much more protected. But….
You went from a beautiful red to a dull one just to look different. IMHO
Thank you for your feedback.
How much did it cost. Also, have an ultra res model x on order.

@@DerekG35 yes and stones will still penetrate the coating which will yellow almost every time. Watch out of spec detailing
