I test fit a new polypropylene E39 M5 bumper to my E39 530i. The vendor I ordered from is linked above and is highly recommended. The bumper fit is perfect, not short on the sides, not wavy and feels just like a factory bumper. It was shipped for FREE from their warehouse in California by FedEx and arrived to me in Connecticut within 3 business days! For the price it cannot be beat. It is stamped made in Taiwan - which according to the forums is the version you want. Avoid any Chinese copy of the Taiwan made version.
Are you considering E39 M5 m sport bumpers on your E39 525i, 530i or 540i? I am happy with this purchase and will share the rear bumper and painted results soon.

The title says Umnitza sells the bumper but the eBay link goes takes me a seller called speed_daddy. Are they the same seller? I wanna make sure I get a good one.
Does it have pdc?
@@freshtelovision3664 if I recall correctly pdc is in the rub strips so you can fit factory pieces into the M bumper
Looks great! Fits well :)
Love that bumper!
Looking good , nice job
Lovely totally change the E39 wow
Nice 👍
you took the crash bar out to fit it ?
Did you get it from speed daddy on eBay or unmtizima
Looks great! I see Umnitza and others sell a Poly version and and ABS version for a bit more, which version did you get?
This is the poly version. I think the ABS version is supposed to have a bit better fitment and finish, but costs more. Next time around I'll try the ABS one, might be a happy medium between the cheaper poly one and the $1000 OEM bumper!
Hi there, any updates on fitment and how it looks today? I just bought an '03 530i Sport and I'm considering doing the M-Sport bumper upgrade. I'm having a hard time choosing between Umnitza and Ikon Motorsport. The latter appears to have a good deal on a front and rear bumper package on eBay right now. Thanks!
Craig French the figment is good, the bumpers are a little short as others have said but for the money it’s very good. If you want perfect then go with factory BMW
Wait until you install the metal bar and then it will be short
How well does it fit on the sides where it meets the guards? Can't really tell on the video. Thanks!
JMark Young it’s a little short by just under 1/4” each side. Not really noticeable to the eye. However I hear ECS tuning $300 version of the bumper in ABS has a better fit. I would go with that one next time for a better product, though it is twice the cost.
@@BIMMERZEITT thanks. I bought one from a local supplier with the same issue. I had to extend the sides to help it line up with the front guard arch. Unfortunately, like you it's already been painted. But if there is a next time I will be looking for a better fit, even if it costs more.
Haha that’s exactly how my 02 530i looks like now except I have a blue hood and banged up fenders LOL (ps mines also schwarz II)
It's always a journey to bring these cars back to life isn't it? I will also have mismatched replacement hood and driver door soon before paint work! Now to find a parts car locally...
BIMMER ZEIT carparts.com or craigslist for part outssss
So is there a gap by the Fenders at least 0.5 inch?
not that much, maybe 1/4'' not too noticeable in person to be honest. I think ECS tuning may have an ABS version that fits a little better but is $400
What's this song?
Hey I got the bumper!!! It fits great what did you do for the fogs? They don't have the same connects?
What did you do for the fog lights
@@ahowardcg any update on that? I’m doing the same thing
@@s654se I sold that car 3 years ago. It was a headache
So how is the fitment doing so far 2 years later? Currently in the market for a replica M5 bumper and I was wondering what you've thought about the Umnitza one so far.
TaqTic it’s not bad for the money. If I did it again I would try the ABS version from ECS tuning which I think is twice the price. If you’re OCD about fitment.
@@BIMMERZEITT When you talk about the fitment, is it because the bumper does not line up with the wheel wells? Or is there a little more to it?
TaqTic yeah the bumper is a little short, the spot where the grill goes was a little wavy. I think ABS is the way to go
@@BIMMERZEITT Awesome thank you so much for your insight!
You should look at www.dm-autoteile.com they make really good BMW bumpers for really good price.
Do they offer the bumper with PDC and washer jets holes?
Leon L you can use oem pdc trim easily enough, and for washer jets you’ll have to drill some holes for the washer jets. My car has the intensive washers so I will be making a video on drilling the washer holes.
My E39 comes with a pair of washer jets and intensive washer as well, I would be greatly appreciated if you could make a video on drilling the washer holes on an aftermarket M5 bumper. I've just ordered one online!
Sold out and raised the price. I need one so bad. Who makes it?
Anthony Howard Anthony I think a lot of these sellers raise the price 10X when they’re out of stock - so they can keep their listing active - or else get penalized by eBay for running out of stock. It will go back down to normal pricing soon as they get more bumpers in. I’m sure spring and summer is busy sales for the auto vendors.
BIMMER ZEIT I hope man my side clips on mine cracked of when the shop parked it and got it stuck on a parking block and ripped it off.
BIMMER ZEIT BTW i like those lights got a link?
the lights are stock, original but I polished them with 3M kit here: ua-cam.com/video/qRj5zX8DAEE/v-deo.html
Link to where you got this bumper?
Blaine, link is in the description box above
How would you rate the fitment? Hard to see online with a dark blue car and black bumper...How does it line up on the sides? What is your paint guy charging to paint the bumper(s)? Thanks!
Patrick the fitment looks perfect right now. But hopefully it still is perfect once I mount the bumper to the aluminum bumper carrier cross section piece. I will update as soon as it is done. The paint guy is excellent, super OCD and does beautiful work. He's charging $400 per bumper; I'm having two bumpers and a hood done, might get a used driver door to replace and paint as well. Or I will try paintless dent removal on the driver door dent.
Did it clip right on?
Mine said it might need professional cutting and install but never checked to see also bought off ebay
Here's what the original cracked bumper looked like: ua-cam.com/video/2T6qtzE_y2Q/v-deo.htmlm52s
Hey bro you recommend it it how does it fit
yeah it's pretty good for the money. ECS tuning sells an ABS version for twice the price that may be a better choice to be honest
BIMMER ZEIT so you recommend it ? I want to order it
I swear the M5 bumper is night an day difference style looks so good on the e39
Did you remove the splash guards for a perfect fit?
Tony Corbin Actually sold it without buying new splash guards if I recall correctly
What year is that car 03?
2001
BIMMER ZEIT right on my 03 had back door leak think I’m going to try the vapor barrier fix ASAP took it to the shop and they said it was the sunroof $1000 later still leaking! 🤦♂️
abs or poly?
Roshan Soroush this was poly
i would like to paint entire car in this plastic mat black color :) looks sick :D dont paint the bumper, paint the car :D
can you recommand this front bumper?
I think for the low price it's decent, it depends on how obsessive you are for it all to be perfect. An OEM bumper with tax and shipping is around $1000 so you get what you pay for.
@@BIMMERZEITT okay thanks
@@BMWe-zs5vk Both replicas cost me $500 I think, the OEM's would have been closer to $2k. I'd prefer OEM but there's much better ways to invest your money. I say go for it. I am picky and was able to live with the imperfections for the cost.
BIMMER ZEIT in the Video, ist Look good
need to ditch the f'd up music, I'd rather hear nothing.
so sadly you are more on ricer than sleeper car side.
both bumpers were cracked and damaged, had to be replaced. The aftermarket M5 bumpers were not too expensive. Also a 225 horse power M54 is never going to be considered sleeper anything
