Mr Nico’s Leverenz sounds as though he’s putting revenue above all else. Are they trying to approve of it because of the cash cow it could be or do they actually care about the pros and cons regardless of the taxes it would generate? Right now medical marijuana is a saving grace to many with chronic diseases but it’s also very expensive to get, even with a Drs prescription. They need to cut some slack and let every Dr prescribe it for pain and allow it to have a decent co-pay with insurance. It’s so expensive to get through a “specialized” physician and at the apothecaries it’s horribly expensive. Drugs with helpful relief without bad side effects should be widely available as a remedy, not as a recreation. Loosen requirements, yes. Make it as legal as alcohol, no. Mr Nico’s Leverenz sounds as though he’s putting revenue above all else. Are they trying to approve of it because of the cash cow it could be or do they actually care about the pros and cons regardless of the taxes it would generate? Right now medical marijuana is a saving grace to many with chronic diseases but it’s also very expensive to get, even with a Drs prescription. They need to cut some slack and let every Dr prescribe it for pain and allow it to have a decent co-pay with insurance. It’s so expensive to get through a “specialized” physician and at the apothecaries it’s horribly expensive. Drugs with helpful relief without bad side effects should be widely available as a remedy, not as a recreation. Loosen requirements, yes. Make it as legal as alcohol, no. The State can still collect taxes on it as a medicine, which it absolutely is.
This is Hawai’i, it’s all about the 💰, not the people.

Marijuana sales in New Mexico surpassed $1 billion dollars. Where did the money?? Has anyone seen New Mexico lately? The only place that that money is going is into the pockets of those Democratic politicians. Don’t fall for false promises. CA and CO made the same pledge when they legalized it. And we see the social problems that they are having as a result of legalizing it. Keep mainland problems on the mainland.
