- Today we talk about the most underwhelming hero to ever be released in BTD6, aka Rosalia. However, there are ways that she can be improved, but I hope Ninja Kiwi will take action soon.

Her lvl 20 is my biggest issue with her. By the time you get it. You can possibly just buy the anti bloon yourself

The reason for Rosalia being so disliked is in my opinion mainly two factors.
1. The past few characters have been extremely powerful and had a high skill ceiling which Rosalia coudn't match.
2. She doesn't lean hard enough into buffing aces and heli pilots. If you plan on having druids as your main defence then you probably will bring Obyn, if your main defence will be cannons or mortars then you bring striker Jones, but Rosalia doesn't provide a significant enough buff to helis and aces to bring her over others. The whole discount on anti-bloon is a little baffling to me even.
It coukd be that Ninja Kiwi were just afraid of releasing an overpowered character, but i hope that they fix that now that they heard the feedback.
They definitely overcompensated in balance after the past few heroes before her were able to solo CHIMPS on release.
I would disagree with the first point. I played bloons like 2 years ago and just used obyn, now, I'm playing the game again for the first time in ages, not really remembering anything from last time I played, and rosalia's tutorial map is byfar the most boring and difficult

I heavily agree with the skill ceiling part, after growing to love Corvus and Geraldo, having only a weapon swap on this character and repositioning made me think..."that's it?"

Gwen has gotten buffed a lot recently. Her heat it up passive is a lot more frequent now
So many heroes have been buffed throughout the lifespan of this game, including the update after they came out (which is what I think you meant otherwise you'd be pretty dumb)

I hate the fact that the optimal way to play the JETPACK HERO is to never move her around. I feel like she should get an attack speed and damage buff after being moved or smth

I absolutely agree. You're telling me we need her level 10 ability or whatever it is that lets her fly around and use both weapons just to do what an Apache dartship does by default?! yeah no, I'll stick to Etienne for my flyboy squadron of aerial superiority thanks. honestly just make her get a permanent pursuit ability, her weapons are not that overpowered, for crying out loud her lasers can't pop lead or purples and her grenades can't pop blacks or zebras, what kind of "hero" loses to 4 bloons types unless you micro? I'm building an army not a one monkey show. my personal opinion on how to fix her? give her at like level 15 or higher she gets to use both weapons permanently but can't be charged, her flight ability to use both weapons now lets them be charged while active and she attacks faster, and she gives Aces and Pilots a lets say 20% discount at max rank and like +4 damage, its a level 20 hero for two towers, we can get a bit ridiculous folks, look at Geraldo and Corvus for freak sake.
@@ColetheFlame01 Yea absolutely agree, hate how she is only useful on single lane maps because of level 7 and there are much better heroes for single lane maps let's be real. On multi-lane maps she is literally just a cheaper moab press and her discount is non-existent
I wish her lvl 7 ability wasn't an ability, but similar to the pursuit upgrade for the heli, and maybe we could place her far from the launch pad thing

As someone who has her as my favorite out of all the heroes, it hurts 😭
I think she's really fun to play but even I agree that although her capabilities are good on paper, they fall flat on either being too underwhelming (Aircraft Efficiency discounts), too late (Guardian Automoton) or the wrong buff (Flying speed for Heli's and Aces), not to mention not having any QoL on her flying in general
Her first balance change was a BUFF in 43.1 where they removed her jump and land animarion after level 7 to make her fly faster, but it isn't enough

I honestly feel you. She looks really good but Striker and Obyn give plenty of buffs to their designated units, hell Striker even counters his biggest weakness over time and Obyn makes druids op as hell with like half his levels being buffs to druids. if Rosalia is going to have an out of place boost for a random tower, give it to the ENGINEER SHE IS A TINKERER/ENGINEER AFTER ALL! and make the discount scale over time, most of the Aces are not truly that expensive out of flying fortress, and the Helis are a bit more costly but you could easily slap 20% discount prices on them and they'd still be expensive to buy and a commitment to them. Why not give her a pursuit option? Her jetpack is on infinite fuel it seems, and to make it even better you can do an Etienne move and make it so that unless her ability is active she can't use both weapons to make it balanced, and give her missile ability double damage to moabs as a reference to the Fighter Ace Missiles being meant for moab destruction. congrats she is now like 10x better but still won't win you the game cause she's a hybrid hero and they aren't meant to.

the flying speed can be nice if you're looking to use pursuit Comanches cause lets be real Quad darts are very nice and automatic piloting is nice too and you aren't fast without bigger jets, but that's such a niche thing and the worst part is that COMANCHES GET MOAB SHOVE SO THEY DON"T NEED IT! meaning the big niche just became a useless niche anyways.
From my knowledge it almost impossible to 2tc with her closest I got was pod or it take some gimmick on scrapyard
She also come in clutch when money is tight I literally used her to buy a anti bloon for tier 4 boss bloon when I was trying to say for a paragon
She did screw over my income but she was able to make up for it with aces yes it not big but with things like the big plane it helpful
She seems like an introductory hero for the more micro heroes like corvus and geraldo
No she isn't I have no problem playing Geraldo or corvus but playing with her sucks I think she either needs to get removed or seriously reworked like I don't like almost anything especially i don't like the weapon swap the rocket launcher feels like more of a ball of junk not a explosive and the gun is not satisfying to use one of the key design points of this game is the sfx like popping a bloon is a beautiful melody but hearing her gun makes me want to tear my ear drum out
I’m confused by her range. Its melee range but she shoots slow… SHOOTS! With guns! She literally shoots bloons from the sky but those guns have absolutely no range

@@vinesthemonkey its an advanced laser gun and grenade launcher, that get upgraded with levels. And Brickell actually has a large attack range, that increases with levels.
I think the range is low to force people to use the jetpack movement, which doesnt have to be a bad thing but here it kinda just doesnt work with the mediocore damage, and lack of a real reason to move her otherwise, as most of the time, its just a direct downside to move her regardless.
@@vinesthemonkey Brickell can cover an entire bend and a half, that girl's pistol is like a crossbow, compared to Rosalia Brickell has a sniper rifle.
Rosalina seems like she does everything, having discounts, buffing and early game potential but it's kinda irrelevant that she does this because of how little the buffs and discounts sound. Maybe she could modify aces at a level past 10 to let them slow down when near bloons and speed up when they are farther away or something
I love Rosalia as a character and like her concept as a hero. But she really falls flat. Like her level 7 for example, all aricrafts fly faster by 30% sounds good on paper,but only works with Heli cause afaik, the extra fly speed doesn't benefit Ace at all if not mistaken. And her lvl 6 5% discount of Ace and heli is...weak as hell, doesnt really make a dent in the price. I like her lvl 20 concept and i think that should be expanded changed a bit as well. Example make her buff machine like towers instead of just heli and ace. Example instead of faster flying, faster firing for middle path bomb shooter,sub,super monkey, and base heli and ace and all their upgrades.
or even better, let her buff Engineers, sure they are rather powerful but she is a Tinkerer and therefore an Engineer. honestly when I read her title of Tinkerer I though she was going to be some kind of Striker Jones but for Engineers, not....a very boring confusing mess of a aerial boosting hero that seems to not have the correct idea of buff in mind.
When I heard they were adding a jetpack hero, I expect it would be one that would control similarly to a heli pilot. I don't hate the way she's been implemented, but I wish the lv20 made her pursuit attack permanent

Rosalia should atleast have good support, her damage is bad anyways so maybe give her really good support, such as a 50% attack speed buff, or damage buff, etc.
50% may be too much but she definitely does just need to be better at buffing heli pilots/monkey aces
I think another change they could make is changing the 30% discount on the anti-bloon to a 30% discount on tier 5 heli pilots/monkey aces.
@@ApieceofBloonBQ I was saying 50% to emphasise that she needs a buff badly, even a 10% increase would be a huge improvement. She should atleast provide decent support or just scrap support and be an all out attacker.

@@ApieceofBloonBQI basically mean shes not the worst one the award for that goes for Quincy I basically mean you can practice her abilities and make her op and her flying ability makes it so NO WALL CAN STOP HER so she’s useful I suggest using her on maps with walls for epic damage
@@Kirbyfan1120 doesn't matter how good you are, the fact that she's underwhelming will persist. Chom Chom is literally one of the best players in BTD6, and even he thinks her supporting can be better
Her having sub par supporting isn't something you can fix by just "being better at the game". The only thing you can get better at is her abilities which are fine but not good enough to make her worth running and microing which isn't worth it because of her sub par damage. Just because no walls can stop her doesn't mean she can deal any damage to make that worthwhile, and that's also an ability you have to unlock at level 7
Also, quincy isn't the worst hero in the game (that would either go to pat fusty, churchill, or maybe etienne although UCAV is really good) and I never said that rosalia was the worst hero in the game when it comes to viablity (she's only F tier on my tier list because I love to bully her for some reason). When I say "she's the worst character btd6 has gotten", I mean that she's had the worst release out of any heroes.

Rework idea:
Lvl 1 Laser Damage 3 -> 4
Lvl 2 Bomb(doesnt matter)
Scatter Missiles(its like a last resort button so nothing changing either)
Lvl 5 Discount increased from %5 to %15
Lvl 7(removed flight path buff,now buffs damage by 5,attack speed increased by %5 and pierce by 10)
Lvl 10 Ability now spawns 2 bombs
Lvl 13 charged laser now one shots ceramics and gives the Glaive Lord bloon bleed and charged bombs are able to one-shot MOAB's
Lvl 20 now makes Lvl 7 permanent and using the ability now buffs damage by 10,attack speed by %10 and pierce by 20 to ALL monkeys(lvl 7 only buffs aces and helis)
My opinion level 13 should instead buff any flying tower, since she is a flying hero, and the same.goes level 20 but even better

rosalia could have a tiny bit more support to aces and heli and a balanced rework to level 20, but other than that I love using rosalia and she is a super fun hero. She adds a lot to expert CHIMPS level gameplay.

Maybe they should make her function exactly like a heli, OR like a plane depending on how you target (think how submerge subs work now)
They should definitely change her, instead of reducing the price of the Anti-Bloon, it should be The Flying Fortress, also reduce it from level 20 to level 15, and she should play more of an impact on flying towers.

Changing weapons and rearranging are simply not necessary would they just make two weapons and shoot from them like
“for every 10 layers by laser, 1 bomb shot"
And the permutation could simply be replaced by something like follows for touching, but at level 7 the chase was activated like 2-0-0 heli and then it would have been better In 000 heli mode there is more damage and all statistics, in 200 heli mode the pursuit of everyone across the entire map

In my opinion the buff she needs is the discount should be 15% although you could argue 20%.
As well as some form of small but noticeable cash generation something similar to obyn's wall of trees.
And also might she need a buff to monkey aces and helipilots to give them 5 extra Peirce 2 extra layer pops and maybe camo detection or attack increase.
I really like rosalia. For once they didn't release something gamebreakingly overpowered and instead a base hero that is fun to play and can be made adjustments upon in later updates, the balance will never be right the first try but I really would rather this than have it be overpowered upon release.

I feel like Rosalia at lvl 5 should provide a 5 % discount to ace and pilots, lvl 10 should that she can upgrade all helis and aces by 3% permanently, caps at 20 stacks, lvl 15 she should be able to to take over an heli or ace and it should fire Rosalias weapons at an insane rate, lvl 20 2 new abilities, 1: self destruct, deals massive damage to every thing on the map, can’t use jet pack for 2 rounds
2: ultra gadgeteer, provides every monkey with a small footprint a jetpack (not monkey sub), provides a life Shield that negates damage by 50%, flies around the map shooting Bloons leaves a trail of fire behind her(6 round cool-down). Hope this works!
I feel like level 20 should be able to dual wield. As thats what the middle path super monkey is known for, and I guess the powerful ability and being relativly affordable.
And maybe make the entire middle path teir-3 and up cheaper.

Quick question, why the hell does she not give buffs to engineers and tack shooters? You can probably tell by my profile picture I enjoy engineers in games, but why doesn’t she buff engineers in some way like letting them place sentries faster or make upgrades cheaper? Like, *W H Y*

I personally think the concept of Rosalia is great, and she's a lot of fun to use. Can't disagree with any of the points here though, there's really nothing she does that other heroes can't do better. Definitely feels like Ninja Kiwi swung a bit too far in the other direction when it came to hero balance after Geraldo and Corvus came out overpowered.
tbh i had hoped that she would works like heli pilot but in her pad range only, i'd even switch her 2nd ability for that

I’ve played this game so much to the point that i hate every hero. Exept for benjamin, but once i finish all the non chimps gamemodes i will have no use for him anymore.
My view on this that while I think she could have been better I also think all the hate is because of how underwhelming she is compared to the other newest heroes I think people forget what it’s like to be a new player as someone who is restarting the game from scratch.
Plus looking at her price she seems like a introductory hero for learning how to micromanage towers
Her mobility and what she can take advantage out of that SHOULD be her strong suit not supporting.
1:10 I think in ultra-late game, Adora is used for buffing Sun Temples and God. I would put her in Hybrid.

Biggest issue is level 20 like AverageQ-BTD said. The jetpack should be permanet at level 20. Level 20 is shit tbh. (If this comment gets deleted. It's because youtube did or the youtuber did.)

I actually liked the style of this video but overall I actually like using Rosalia quite a bit, her level 7 ability is great and she can be a really good support with the Moab push back which definitely helps on really bulky rounds like 98, she can also just ignore all obstacles and fly over the track which I can definitely see being extremely useful on certain maps
i wasn't expecting much out of rosalia after nk said they were gonna fallback to simpler heros, and as i expected she wasn't all that interesting

At least she speaks brazilian portuguese 🤷 (when you move her there is a chance of her say:"bora" or "vamo lá". Both brazilian words) so yeah, even she is a bad hero, at least i feel represented by monkey speaking portuguese (sorry for bad english)
Her laser gun needs a buff aswell, whats the point on using it when the grenade launcher is better in everything EVEN moab damage and the laser gun is meant for moab damage
I dont own her, but doing her quest/mission yeah.. She felt like its either just lacking, like some number tweaks.
2. The fact she isnt kinda flying like heli makes me sad, I was like uu flying hero, no wait, its just bottom super monkey and slower

I heard NK is ignoring any syggestions or feedbacks from the community. Even if I'm confident that NK are trying their best not to screw up big time (And they succeeded so far), I still find it a bit rude of them torward the community on that regard. I bet the fan knows the game better than the devs themselves to help improve an already great game. That's a big loss on their part.
honestly, at level 11 she should become a pursuit heli (at least within her workshop range)
I know rosalia isnt good but she is still my favorite hero. I just hate when my favorite options in games are always bad and in needs of buffs.
What I think they should make her do is allow her to attack when chaning position and adding a damage or pierce buff to the towers she is supposed to buff. (Also adding a level that gives her camo detection)
I actually really like Rosalia she is complicated enough, not like corpus or Geraldo but still enough to make the game more interactive, I think she needs to see camo, and lean more to boosting helicopters and planes

I hope they do make her ability to chase the balloons permanent. Also make her become a global range military hero. A hero that acts as a mini helipilot at level 7 and discounts all military monkeys. Why not? The magic class has a few hero’s that buff them. And that would mean you only have to micro her in the early game
Shes just the right level of both micro-ing and just plop her down, that I hate her more than corvus or geraldo. With those 2, I KNOW what Im getting into and know to pay attention and manage resources and stuff. With rosalia, most of the time I just leave her in one area, swap weapons twice since the lazer is good early/late game and the nades are better mid game, and thats it. She's just not fun to work with.
Then its like I COULD get her for cheaper airplanes and stuff... Or I could just put down villages I was gonna use anyways, and also have sauda destroy everything.

I think shes mid i dont like her voice, her concept is cool but i just didn't have fun playing her. Not to mention, she can't attack camo
I'd say make her range bigger twice in upgrades at like level 4 either instead of or alongside getting adrenaline rush since it's useless or at level 5 since her guns are upgraded so it makes sense the range of her weapons get upgraded too and then again at level 9 or 11 for the same reasons, I also agree her level 20 is bad, I think they should slightly nerf the discount on the anti bloon and swap it to level 18 and instead of what level 18 does now which is shortening the cooldown on her level 7 ability, change her level 7 ability into a switch so you can choose if u want her to permanently fly or just chill on the ground and then for level 17 buff her synergy with aces and heli's again by either replacing or adding alongside the buff for adrenaline rush, i feel a good buff would be to buff the cost reduction to 10% and make them do increased damage to specific bloon types depending on what gun rosalia is using like while shes using the laser gun + 2 damage to moabs or while shes using the grenade launcher + 1 damage to ceramics and + 1 pierce, so in short:
-range upgrade at level 4 instead of or alongside adrenaline rush or at level 5
-range upgrade at level 9 or 11 for the same reasons
-discount to anti bloon is now on level 18 and is 25% instead of 30%
-cooldown reduction on level 7 ability is now on level 20 instead of 18 and is a switch instead of an ability giving her permanent flight
- at level 17, 5->10% discount for heli's and aces
-at level 17 while using laser gun, heli's and aces + 2 moab damage
-at level 17 while using grenade launcher, heli's and aces + 1 ceramic damage & + 1 pierce
-at level 20 heli's and aces get both + 1 ceramic damage, + 2 moab damage and + 1 pierce because of Rosalia's permanent use of her flight ability
other suggestions:
-add adrenaile rush to nearby monkeys (or at least heli's and aces) to boost synergy and make adrenaline rush actually usefull
-at a high level like 19 or 20 make her buffs to heli's and aces global
-while at level 20 make her also buff the paragon(s if they release heli paragon)
-also make her apply her buff to 4-0-0, 5-0-0 and paragon buccanneer
-also make her discount for the anti bloon work on the tek terror and maybe even robo monkey
-maybe make her give an ability cooldown reduction for 0-4+-0 Ace, 0-4+-0 Heli, 0-4+-0 Super, Ace Paragon & Buccaneer paragon (Heli paragon too if they add it maybe Super Monkey paragon too depending on how it ends up working)

She's pointless, and that makes me sad. Every hero should have a genuinely useful space within the game. Hopefully NK will fix or rework her to make her better.

idk i never saw problem with her. She just does what shes meant to do. never felt like she isnt bad lmfao.
so we have a jetpack monkey, but it just stands. make her be able to fly around the map please
