They were trying to push him for a minute, he just wasn’t good enough. J-Hood had so little to offer as far as talent or personality that he was likely more of a liability than an asset. There may or may not have been other factors behind the scenes, but after all these years, J-Hood has failed to prove himself as an interesting or compelling artist worthy of anyone’s time or money.

Situation happen 20 years ago, but J -Hood was simply answering questions being asked . He was able to articulate his perspective, and wasn't disrespectful towards anyone. Sheek's reply, just gives confirmation that J-Hood was telling the truth.
It does sort of seem this way. And time passing doesn't make the story change. He was asked about a backstory just like most who are on these platforms.
Just because some people deem the dollar amount to be insignificant (most wouldn't by the way) doesn't mean the situation was of no importance.
I remember cormega one time (I think on forbezdvd) said in reference to them asking him about his beef with nas that ppl need to ask nas about mega in his interviews basically implying that because mega is the lesser known artist his name is more attached to nas legacy then nas is to him so he has the stigma of being a way of ppl tryna find out more on nas since they can't interview him.
I say that to say j hood always gonna deal with the d block questions because that was his most known history so the lox getting upset over it is foolish especially when they never really gotta deal with the j hood questions since j hood never blew up.

I watched that interview and watched the body language of every body around. The questions asked and even the way Math and Mecca tried to explain scenarios to J-Hood on why certain things may have happened behind the closed doors with the check writers. J Hood wants closure.
