There’s no live interview of these people to hear their experience over the years. It immediately takes the shine off the excitement of learning that Igbos exist outside Eastern Nigeria.

I see so much HATE and JEALOUSY in d comments. People should be civilised and make reasonable comments in support or against videos and stop being rude! When I read such 'hate' comments, it just makes it more obvious dat the Igbos r true Hebrews, cos dat is one of d biblical signs. You don't like the Igbos yet u go to their channels, watch their videos and drop some nasty comments. Who is fooling who? If u feel they r not factual with their videos, let God be d Judge, He knows His people. Meanwhile, my advice to u is to Keep off their videos and posts and save urself from HEARTACHE!!!

The Ibibio and Efik people of Nigeria; close to the Igbos also make up a large part of Equatorial Guinea. This migrants who were mostly indentured/forced labourers who were lured with a promise of a better pay in the Bioko Islands via the Calabar, Oron and Eket coastlines of South-Eastern Nigeria.

When Bioko was a Spanish colony, thousands of Igbos (50,000 or more) went to work on this island in the huge cacao and coffee plantations owned by the Spaniards and the "Fernandinos". They made contracts for one or two years, and received a thousand pesetas (Spanish currency at the time) per month plus food and housing. Every month they receive 500 pesetas and when they return to Calabar they receive the rest of the money together, if they had been a year they would give them 6000 pesetas. They used this money to buy things as sewing machine and the like. Initially they passed in large canoes (cayucoes) from Calabar. When after the independence of Spanish Guinea and the government of the first president, Macias, who was half crazy, there were serious conflicts between Macias and the Ibos. All the agricultural workers in Bioko were Igbos. (The Spanish government at the time, under the dictator General Franco, gave support to the Biafran rebels). this is a good video then, click down and right red circle to hear sound in spanish www.rtve.es/play/videos/revista-imagenes/fernando-poo/2858735/

I heard of Uncles who went to Panya and did not come back.
They were breeding of course. Some came back, couldn't fit in and went back there.
    So this is no surprise.
Luckily, DNA as a scientific proof of anthropological ancestry is an option available to all who care to verify.

I expected you to use your platform to correct such error but I see it wasn't going to happen. Please try and get this wrong notion corrected. Meanwhile, there are Igbo's in some parts of Nigeria where people think they aren't but are forgotten as well. For example, Igbos of Benue state.

I like Igbo people but always wonder why they dont like to stay back to build their land. It seems they only love to strive for greatness outside. I did my youth service in Nasarawa State where I met my partner in crime- Kelechi aka Kele-Choice (Chai! it was fun). Many farmers in those villages are Igbos doing very well in yam cultivation, including my landlord. They plant yams also in Igbo land, why travelling all the way leaving your own fertile land to farm in far away places? My friend Kele-Choice also stayed back after our service. Just wondering!

as you said is, Igbos want to go home, Nigeria refused not to allow them to go is it a possible? If you are living in a place and find out the place is not healthy for you, will you allow anyone to force you not to pack out and go back to your home? Will it be a problem you need to solve? Think of it because I knew you might lived in many places, if you want to go home you go freely no one being an obstruction on you not to go your home. You guys need to know that they are at home where they are, and you won't be doing them any good by uprooting them from the only place they know as home. If they want to go to Nigeria, they'd let y'all know. It's not uncommon for an ethnicity to be found in multiple countries due to historical events. So why do you feel the need to move these guys from thier country? When they were moved, there was no Nigeria/E. Guinea. So what makes you think they should be in Nigeria now? These are facts, the Igbo is migrant and can be found in any country in the world where there are human beings, they have reached everywhere ,don't worry your head about that, also there is Igbo in Panya now EG because I have proofs, don't fool yourself thinking it's not true, now there's Igbo in Gabon that went there during the civil war, my french teacher from cameroun was Igbo he went back when his contract with ESSG then ended. If you don't know about something doesn't mean it doesn't exist and remember also the Igbo identity was fast extinguishing after the civil war because of perceived persecution which is a historically proven natural phenomena. You probably have lost Igbo population in the whole world more than what you know to be statistical Igbo population and this is made worse by the fact that the Igbo is anti-tribal and anti- racial in their socializations , for example look how quick and easy they integrate into host communities to the point of losing their own identity. Nri is the first son of Eri, the son of Gad. In Igboland we have a tourist center in a town called Aguleri another son of Eri where there’s a tourist center called OBI GAD. And Gad is a descent of Israel. That’s why Igbos are said to be originally Jews.

In South Africa, there are the Boers from the Netherlands and those who came from Britain apart from the aborigines (The Zulu of South Africa believe that they are descendants of a chief from the Congo region. ..., The Xhosa is the second most popular South African tribe after the Zulu. ...

What is your last name? If you state it, we can tell you if it’s Igbo and even tell you what the meaning is.
      Also some of the DNA
tests can be misleading because instead of giving you your results based on ethnic groups, they give results based on countries, with artificial boundaries, that were created during the scramble for Africa.

FOLA SE yoruba s are more are more sociable than igbo. igbos more stick to their own and if they marry outsiders its mainly europeans and not black or occasionally yoruba as some igbo speak both yoruba and igbo

@@michaelfrye2146 Yakub. I want to shock you…..Yakub and Yakubbu can be found in North part of Nigeria and as far as Benin Togo especially the Yakub and Yakkubu tribe amongst the Hausa. Africa in it’s entirety is the land of the renown people we read about including the Persians “Ousa or Usan”, Babiloni (Babalowo/ Babaloo/Babali in Ethiopia/Eritrea side), Chaldean (Chad). Kaduna is the land of Enok as well as Anambra is in scriptures as Anam but is also amongst the Kemet (like IKEM) people. If you research well, you’ll see how they tried to mix up a lot but contradict in other parts. Now think who could be an “Egyptian and Yakub”. But the people always mixed. Colonizers stirred a divide. What we think is just Egyptian is also the people of the ancient texts. Look at their names and the controversy. For instance “Ezekiel” derives from “Eze” which is also found in a similar form in Kenya or adjacent. Obadiah is “Oba-dia”. Remember he prophesied in the time and region of Idumea (Idu/Iduma/Idumea found in Lagos/Edo). So we are all closely related. I can tell you more like Adanna is from Madonna (second name of Mary or Amara/Imari/Imani. So Joseph’s seed is more plenty in the West Africa in its entirety region but not only so. Like Obi Gad is Ogadi. These Ogad names are also in Zimbabwe, Uganda, S. Africa, N. Africa. So much more to say. Be blessed
      God is wise.
