- After this fog found an injured parrot, he became obsessed with him! And follows him around for cuddles.
We talked with their mom about the ridiculously adorable friendly she gets to witness every day 💙

It’s adorable on the surface, but the bacteria in dog saliva is toxic to birds, they’re very sensitive- and that was right in the mouth, too. Really hope they don’t let them keep doing that, while the dog means well, that could eventually end up killing the galah

It's only toxic if it gets in through a bite. The bird will be fine.

The dog acts exactly as it would with a puppy, so presumably the dog thinks the bird is a strange looking pup.
It is very gentle and attentive, but is willing to set boundaries (such as that nose push)
He's not confusing it with a dog . There are all kinds of interspecies friendships
My dogs don't think I'm another dog but they're my friends
@@marthacheston3967 some would argue that dogs have been domesticated to not differentiate between species so youre both technically right. he doesnt think youre a dog, but he has no inherent concept of "my species vs that other species" so he doesnt feel any different fundamentally than the bird with that theory

Nothing more heartwarming than seeing two completely different species who have a bond like this.
Those cages are not cheap. Taking care of them is not a simple task. This bird was fortunate to have made a wise choice in where he found shelter from the storm. Such a beautiful experience in this story 😍

I went to pet adoption/society and she suggested me that we should get two cats and I was like OK. It was the best thing I ever ever did… two animals are better they groom each other console when there’s a storm.
Cats can do well without a friend. I recommend two plus it's more fun and cuter. But if it's a budget issue, and you can't afford a second set of vet bills. Then don't think it's two cats or no cats. 1 will do just fine as long as you Give them more attention.
It would be worse if we got another cat, she HATES when we smell like other animals and other animals being in the house.
Edit: Luna is our precious baby but wants all of the attention. Kitty gets jealous lol
@@meganheartswell it is recommended to keep 2 cats if they're indoor - more like STRONGLY recommended as well :) Cats aren't loners, they need someone else to talk to who speaks their language, cuddles with them, cleans them etc. etc. Please don't keep a cat alone unless its a cat that HATES other cats. No animal wants to be alone unleess that's specifically in their species like hamsters
@lykiaookami6070 my habañero kitty became a bell pepper when we adopted a feral kitten. It's like having someone little to take care of made him gentle. He never bites or scratches me and he used to abuse me everyday! 2 cats def recommend.
@@lykiaookami6070yeah our sweet cat hates other cats lol some will pass through our yard when she's outside and she hisses at them and chases them out of the yard. Shes very territorial. We want to get her a friend but we know she would hate it

I’ve never seen anything like that with a dog and bird. The bird loves the dog for saving him. You’re so encouraging turning sour lemons into gold by writing a book for children and you and Milo saving a beautiful creature.

Well smarter dogs tend to view birds in two ways. Food or friend.
My big german shepard befriended an escaped chicken, there was almost no shred of aggression in him.
The german shepard before him tended to catch moles, rats and birds which was fun to see but her behaviour underlines a world of difference in personality, even with the same breed.
Except it's extremely dangerous and potentially deadly for the bird

not my cat though :( my cat used to be a stray and she grew up quite feral, she is a total sweetheart with me, but i think due to the fact that she had to survive outside, she probably will forever see other animals as prey or predator :/ she hates my brother’s dog, even though his dog is so patient with her

If you come to Australia you will see them a lot. Just one of our gorgeous native birds we have here. We also have some lovely flora too.

A mom is the one who was pregnant, gave birth, clearly to animals that is never people bcz they are not animals.
Also, in addition, animals are not babies bcz they are called animals. They also have specific names for them, the young birds like for owls is owlets and for ducks it is ducklings, for dogs it is puppies.

they are called Gallah cockatoos! They also have some color variations kinda like tiels. Look up lutino gallah and your jaw will drop at how beautiful they can be

This is a great example of how sweet and loving a pitbull can be. It's high time we get rid of the stigma that they're violent. Humans make them violent forcing them to fight, but they're lil sweethearts when raised in a loving environment.
So true!! Dogs are a product of their environment basically, so it's all how they are treated. Even Chihuahuas can be sweet hearts if they are raised with love❤ even though they are usually tiny demons lol and strange fact, most people don't know that for a long time wayyy back in the day in olden times, pitbulls were called "nanny dogs" and people would leave them alone with their children bc they are so caring and intelligent and would help them with the kids! A pitbull would give it's life to protect it's humans. Much more loyalty shown than some humans fr sadly. I agree with you, the world needs to stop the hate fr! It's all in how you raise them and their environment. Same as alot of humans and other animals as well ❤
Yes it's nonsense that pit bulls are violent they were taken over that way because they have a strong jaw so they were misused and abused by awful people
I haven't saw police training dogs to attack and some of them were peeing themselves because they hated it so much. Of course that was decades ago. And I presume they don't do that kind of training anymore🙏🤞

Good job with the book. Today's kids learn from parents and those who hang around, how to be hateful to others BECUZ they ARE different. Hope it teaches the kids to NOT be like their influences and maybe, just maybe, teach them a little bit of kindness
Today's kids neither know how to take care of pets nor to properly value life. The parent; a teacher.
If a kiddo lacks education in basic life, parent has failed as a teacher. That's what parenting means. Not only to raise, but to teach.

@@day52211 Yes, it's too much of a stretch to say "all kids." However, I do have to wonder how much better off they'd be if they had a mother who was willing to teach them what they still don't know.
I was a kid who had to take care of myself when my parents collapsed in on themselves, and there's so much I missed. My dad had to take care of his whole family because his useless dad skipped out, and my mom got shoved into the creepy foster system. The cycle goes on and on, and we all need a community to teach us what we're missing.

Pittie mixes are so sweet! My pitty/weimaraner mix has to see all the baby chicks and ducklings everytime we go to the farm store and immediately drags me back to their pens. 😊 She loves it so much we go 3 times a week just so she can say hi to all the baby birds and all the people shopping.

Thank you! I feel like I'm the lucky one to have her as well. She showed up on Thanksgiving 4 years ago starved wandering down the highway in front of my house. I saw her walking as I put up Christmas lights and immediately fed her. Within 15 minutes she was in the house curled up on the couch with my other dog. She's truly a blessing and a furry angel. I'll have to start filming her trips to share her with the world. 🐾

@@soltantio that doesn't make sense. Presumably something was worked out here therefore the bird became her pet. In my US state you are not allowed to help an injured bat. You are not even to call a wildlife center etc. Just let nature do its thing.
It's an Australian galah. They certainly aren't endangered as they are seen frequently in large flocks. They make very good pets.
