Interesting build, didn’t know about that magatha interaction. Idk why people weren’t shoving novice zapper in their lists at the start but I’m glad people have figured it out
The Gaslight Gatekeeper is a must in this deck. After you have a solid number of meteors and you shuffle and draw seven or eight cards it is lights out for the opponent.
I've been playing with a version of this deck since Worldeight posted it and It's been working pretty well. 65%+ winrate so far, but still hasn't got legend. I took out both miracle salesman, and both greedy partners to put 2 thrall gifts, 1 baking soda volcano and ceaseless expansion, and it's been working wonders for me. (I guess this changes are best for me cause I'm more of a midrange player instead of the aggro approach) - but keep in mind that so many spells disrupt the spell pool for cactus cutter and triangulate. Before this changes I couldn't win any games against elemental mage, warrior or DK, and now with the changes I win more than 50% of these matchups. the worst machups are infinite armor warrior, elemental mage and starship druid, Druid is just a disgusting class, such horrendous play patterns
Just smashed one. I triangulated my baking sodas and ended up with 3 in my hand, held me long enough to buff all my asteroids then massive asteroid streak ggs
At least on this list if you don't find Growfin or only find the 2 drop murloc then the card draw potential is very limited. With the totem you're guaranteed at least a cycle without any set-up
Zeddy I wanna hear your take on hero powers in HS. They've become obsolete after the witchwood and I don't see it changing anytime soon with cards doing far more better things for even less mana
whenever im using meteor storm astroid deck it felt really redundant cause with astroid deck most of times you have board advantage so you end up AOEing your board. Even with Nobundo it felt meh
I have found that Asteroid Shaman works in about the same rate/pace as my old Lightshow Mage decks... if you get the cards out in the right order, or hit well on draws, then it's well-nigh unstoppable... but it is ENTIRELY dependent on getting enough asteroids into the deck, and the spell damage/asteroid-specific buffs in play, while surviving the other players' early efforts. In that regard, it's just a bit too RNG swingy for my tastes... I love the concept, but I feel like the asteroids themselves should have a stacking buff to their damage inherently, and you make fewer of them - because "2 damage to random target, and you've got to draw me to make it happen" isn't exactly sustainable against the early game onslaught many decks feature currently.
It's a nice idea, but it's simply not fast enough to survive Wild. It's BARELY fast enough, if it draws right, to survive Standard. By the time you've got the pieces in place to draw damage, you're already long past dead.
@@Maverick7613 though it would have a lot of early game drops and 4 mana make all elementals cost 1 less it's basically elemental shaman already with the new expansion drops and you can easily make it a Reno as well.
I’ve used a slightly different version of this deck to go straight from plat to legend for the first time in like 2 days with a 75% wr. Asteroid shaman is no joke.
I removed the snake oil vendor and tiny fins to add the 2 mana draw every turn and the draw battlecry location, and instead of Agatha I run the shaman titan.
I am pretry sure it did that, all spells, in the beggining, i remember giving back plagues to dk when playing it; but indie dev team changed the interaction recently
The spells say "cast *when* drawn". Magathas first wording is "DRAW 5 cards". So if we go by the ordering here, Magatha is drawing the spell and then the spell has an effect that goes off *when* it is drawn. It normally would go to the opponent, but the spell already casts itself 🤷🏻♂️
@@lesiegelad true in order. But Agatha is an older card and they should reword it so it with meteors doesnt break the meta. Because Agatha wasn't designed for meteors when printed.
Like... the Gramby man always complains at Nostalgia shaman but in EU legend the only shaman I face are Asteroid shamans.... it might be deck-based matched but I swear in EU server the ONLY shamans you see are Asteroids. Is it only me?
It's not slow, it has amazing early game clear and it's not RNG at all, you're always going to hit those asteroid and lava surges with cards that draw spells. It's probably a tier S
This deck can shuffle 24 asteroids not counting the shudder +6 battlecries. Each asteroid can do 2 to 8 damage not counting spell damage. Also not counting incindius, this deck has enough damage to kill anything.
Absolute cancer deck. You basically don't care about board and what your opponent is doing unless he's going full agro, then you can't do anything and just lose. Your opponent can't interact with anything you do because you don't care about board or what he plays.

Weird, I constantly get destroyed using Asteroids. Not fast enough in early game, not weighty enough in late game.

This deck is good only if you draw right. Happy roulette deck to all of you.
I cut tiny fins and snake oil to add draw cards, and cut Agatha to put titan, it can draw the overloads too.

Run only into this shaman last 10 games. Adn it is not fun to play against. Lost 8 out of the 10 games.
Finally someone made a video on this deck
Would this deck work without the titan?
Can we change the name to shower shaman?
Wild Asteroid Shaman can cheapen and double battlecry... I'm tempted to try.

Lol you must be new to HS or oblivious because there has been many more toxic stuff than asteroids.

Magatha shouldnt work like that imo. It should give all the spells to the opponent. Instead of hurting the opponent with meteors
