I'm the writer, got a front page cover
Hot gossip 'bout who's with their latest lover
I write off actors by the second scene
I call the shots, don't need a Fleet Street team
I am a writer and I'm the news
You cross me, you know you're gonna lose
I'll do the story if you're dead or alive
From seconds out or if you're gonna take a dive
Slip out the news or a piece of scandal
Don't tow the line, 'cause nothin's too hot to handle
I am a writer and I'm the news
If you cross me, you know you're gonna lose
Yeah, you're gonna lose, whoa
I am a writer and I'm the news
You cross me, you know you're gonna lose
And where you are, it's because of me
'Cause overnight, you know it don't come free
I'll put you up there or I'll bring you down
'Cause nothin' moves without me in this town
I am a writer and I'm the news
You cross me, you know you're gonna lose
Boy, you're gonna lose, I said, you're gonna lose
I write the news and I'm the news
You got to, got to, got to lose, oh yeah, you're gonna lose
So don't you step on my blue suede shoes, ooh, you're gonna lose
You're gonna lose, yeah, you're gonna lose
Seen them several times back in the 70s and early 80s
I wish the whole record "Mechanix" was as good as this one song.
It is, you dumb fuck!!!
100% agree Although "Dreaming" and "We belong to the night" are also top level hard rock songs, they stand far behind this one. And the rest of the album is just average-to-worse teenage rock and unimpressive ballads.
I saw them in concert on February 13, 2019 at the Medina Ballroom in Medina, Minnesota. Unfortunately they didn't play this song but I wish they would've. Still it was an awesome show!
To be honest I'm scrolling randomly through your content tonight and playing random songs. *Not disappointed yet.* Yeah man. :)
Di album Ini UFO agak lain, setelah Michael Schenker keluar bersolo karier....tp tetap mantap 👍
