I got Sims 4 sometime around 2016-2017-ish -- right after they added Toddlers to the base game, whenever that was. City Living was one of the first EPs I bought. And honest to Jehosophat, I had no clue whatsoever that this was a thing until just now.
The comments reminds me why sims as a community aren’t taken seriously. 😒 All whining, no plan to help themselves. Even on a positive video. Just an awful fandom ruining it for the rest.
This is what i love about the sims. This is what keeps me coming back. Is all the love thats put into the game. The problem is that the sims 4 should have stopped 7 years ago because the game was DOA. All these wonderful ideas for new expansion packs that are so poorly executed because this game just foes not work. But yeah, this is so cute ❤
If the game did not work, it would’ve stopped. It’s fit for purpose, the issue is that mods have gotten so good that people expect the game to provide the same standard, while knowing barely anyone buys the expansions at full price, unless it’s a new release. At the end of the day, we are pretty lucky work is still being put into the game and need to just accept that not all gameplay will run perfectly on release, which is a video game thing, not a sims thing, and that not all releases are for everyone. The sims community is just filled with a lot of irrational people, it makes the gameplay more fun but takes away understanding of how games actually work.
@@kirstybrown1185 a lot of the gameplay doesn't work though. A lot of minor glitches add up to a frustrating play. But I also just stopped buying new stuff from them because I heard it's the game engine that's the issue. So I don't think all the minor things that happen will stop ever. Disappointing, BUT instead of complaining non stop I just stopped giving them more money lol
Some context for this Easter egg: EA is located in the Bay Area and a lot of San Myshuno was modeled after San Francisco (the arts quarter is modeled after Yerba Buena which is across from MOMA in SF, then there’s the name, the “quake zone” lot trait, the bridge in the background, etc). Steph plays for the Golden State Warriors, the basketball team for the Bay Area. The year City Living was released was one of Steph’s most successful years: GSW won the most basketball games in a season of all time, he was the unanimous league MVP, and they made it to the finals (they lost after winning the year prior but won the next year). So knowing all that, it’s really a great little Easter egg.
That’s in the actual game though. If you’re gonna whine, at least make it make sense. 🤭 You could stop playing to make a point. The issues aren’t affecting as many people as you’d like to think. 🤷♀️
