So, no one going to ask how far up the mountain they had to haul the mighty trencher machine to its location? Great show of power of the two Heavy haul trucks. Lots of power.
The self tracking is cutting in, the trailer needs a wider arc to avoid cut in - the lead prime mover turned too quickly. I think it would have been more sensible to have 1 lorry pulling, & I pushing, so that the length at front would be reduced to puller & trailer rather than 2 pullers and trailer. Better breaking going downhill also

The part where they were putting the tires for the big machine so it wouldn't ruin the tarmac was like a cartoon scene. I'd say their biggest mistake was going out in the wet and not taking digital scans of the road conditions.

There are a couple of things that are wrong with the transport that makes it even more difficult to drive.. 1. Pulling truck has a little to much ballast, that's why he can't steer full lock. 2. The tight curve, if they just both drives over the cleared path and turned the back of the trailer manually, they could have make the turn without unloading. 3. Lifting up the rear of the trailer for more ground clearance. There are some more points but yeah.. That's my opinion as an heavy hauler..
Very tricky curve for sure. I would think the chance getting around that thight corner without a 3'rd truck pushing on the trailer would had been pretty slim) It's just too thight, and that wood area would been too slipery even on a complete dry day imo. It's just too hard to me belive in miracles here) But miracles do happen now and then.
The Blind leading the Blind front truck is turning far too early the whole load should be over to the right 2 plus meters and when rolling back the rear steerer should have been turned to the right NOT to the left

Good
i think if the machine got pushed and pulled by 1 truck in the back and one in the front, it would have made the tight corner
These two trucks makes mind blowing performance....V10 diesel machines....
The newer MAN is definately a V8 640HP the first one was the V8 502HP. A V10 existed from the older one and it had over 600HP :)

It takes balls to give up and drop the load :o) And it was absolutely the right thing to do without a third pusher truck.
Some of the wheels were up in the air and there was a risk of breaking the trailer. I don't think another truck would help in this situation.
