New Madrid (Spanish: Nueva Madrid) is a city in New Madrid County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,787 at the 2020 census. New Madrid is the county seat of New Madrid County. The city is located 42 miles (68 km) southwest of Cairo, Illinois, and north of an exclave of Fulton County, Kentucky, across the Mississippi River.

First time headed east we crossed the Miss River and then 5 minutes later another huge river! What is this!? It's the Ohio!! Interestingly, no barges on Miss, totally on Ohio.

Would u no the name of the stem boat that comes threw and docks at New Madrid Mo I lived there in town for almost 7 months and one day driving on the levee I seen this beautiful Steamboat I no it was called The Mississippi Queen but I wasn’t to shire it’s been about 8 years now it also had a beautiful steam accordion that played while it left New Madrid .
