You can change the hand movement for the steals to “camera relative” and your player gonna use his opposite hand because tbh when you see your player on defence (I’m talking about the 2k camera only tho) you just mirroring him so it’s easier to choose the hand you want with that way
True, but I still believe they hold information. Some youtubers have even admitted to gatekeeping specific content. I also do not trust anyone who defends 2k, so until they do right by the community, I will have my doubts.
I get way more lanes with the stick. I also found I get way more strips on drives with the stick. I get some strips I have no business getting. It can throw you in a long drawn out strip layup animation that is cheesy.

I get at least 3 steals per game and I just randomly flick the right stick I dont even pay attention if its left or right some I get steals from doing nothing like when they bump into me. I have a 91 steal so I guess that helps. I tried to look at the ball and choose which side to swipe but by the time I figured it out my man would already be at the rim. Lol
Can you do a video on body steals.. like running in the passing lane and the ball hitting off your body.. or for even small guards just running towards the center backdown an opponent.. I trigger a lot of steals by just running into the passing lane or a run steal
Anyone who likes the old mechanic is the problem with everything wrong with 2K. They don't like skill based gameplay where you have to actually use IQ. Why else would you want the game to randomly choose a side for you when it can sometimes get it wrong oppose to you being able to choose yourself and getting your desired outcome.
Steals attribute need to be lane steals only IMO & not on-ball steals. Not many defenders know how to constantly steal the ball and not play perimeter defense. My example is look at James Harden, people say he doesn’t play defense yet in 2019-2020 he led the league in steals. Most likely coming from off-ball steals or even those pinch steals when another defender is leading the player to him. Point is, many people forgo the perimeter defense stat and just have high steal and spam and for the most part they get bailed out way more than a person playing great defense majority of the time.
I love the implementation of rewarding for using the right stick for on ball steals but off ball I think square is the best option Would be interesting to see how much of a boost right stick ripper gives glove and interceptor

bro even the beast pickpockets in the entire NBA only average like 3 steals ☠ this would be OD. I do think there should be more variance in results though. in 2k24 it feels like you either get a clean rip or its a foul theres no inbetween.

It might be a good test to compare right stick versus square in passing lanes. I assume right sick ripper doesn't work for the lanes but who knows

It’s the opposite, defense is strong this year while offense isn’t as strong
