We have a 8870a that hesitates and then jumps into gear from neutral to forward and neutral to reverse. I did a calibration and that went good. Otherwise shifts fine through everything. Thanks

Thanks for the explanation. I'm currently having a problem with my 8870: I can no longer engage a gear at all. I calibrated the gearbox, but that didn't help. Could this problem perhaps also have something to do with these valves?

Why do you not put dielectric compound the plug connections when you reassemble the plug connectors it will help keep the crud out since it rides way done low in the water and mud?
What would be the sympoms of these being plugged .
Got a 8970 with a rebuilt transmission with calibrattion numbers going all they way up to almost failing ,
Could it be the screens as they probably just removed and re installed the solenoid block without checking anything on it ?

2000 I think
so since they were producted 1993-2002 it was built 2 years before they stopped manufacturing the genesis 70 series so those probably the reasons why they stopped in the early 2000’s
would this be the same for a ford/new holland 8560?tks
possably but the 8560 had a fiat derived tranny that 8970 is different methinks
