Nice journey.I think duranto se jada service crossing less train Gimb tirunelveli Humsafar express hogi. Duranto ka naam change karke Humsafar Dena chahiye. Humsafar jaise coaches & service honi chahiye.
Basically ERS doesn't have much platforms /shed to accommodate a new train which running before time and ending journey in ERS, That's why they doing like this, most of the time they have to move rakes to near by stations to make platforms clear.
Last overtake by good train was stunning 😁... Slag time is given for this train bcoz of monsoon period timetable... Normally From October onwards, this train will reach Kochi at around 1430 hrs...

It's a pity that Indian Railway thinks progressively and reduce the travel time and assign 3 some hours for the last leg where as you said there were only 190 kilometers had to run in 5 long hours. What is wrong with them. This way they are punishing the train and passengers who could have reached their destination about 2 hours earlier. Thanks for bringing this up!

Konkan Railway me kya duronto aur kya rajdhani, sabko equal priority milti hai thanks to it being a single line. Suresh Prabhu when was rail minister had announced the doubling of entire KR route which piyush goyal later scrapped saying it's not economically feasible as there is less than expected freight traffic. The line though is now over saturated and desperately needs to be doubled.

There’s something seriously wrong with the track density management system of IR , that’s why I prefer flying even though the increased cost gets offset by time saved !!
How beautiful is my country!! Konkan is the most beautiful part of our country!! I am unable to understand, recently, this track, though single line, is electrified entirely!! But, your duranto train was connected to a Diesel loco, in Gujrat itself? Is Electrification not complete yet? Passing trains too are not with electric loco!! They are with Diesel again? Yeh gaadi 'piti' nahin hai, yeh traffic hai, joh khatarnaak tarike se badha hai!! This is the quickest any railway line has been laid in Indian railway history!! A great combination of Madhu Dandavate( Rail mantri) + E. Shridharan!! In his autobiography, he writes, By grace of God, all the difficulties were taken care of,but most challenging & time consuming difficulties were related to 'Land Acquisition '!!! They took his most valuable time, & energy!!! When I dig further, most of the law suits against Konkan railway, were filed by Muslim land owners of this entire area!! And, these people call themselves Indian? They are Pakistani, not Indian, Always oppose the development!! Horrible fact!!

The prestigious 'The Southern Maratha Railway' started in 1875, completed the meter gauge line, from Pune,to Londha, in Karnataka ( From there, one track goes to Goa, and other to Hubli)!! In 1890( As per Wikipedia) After independence, this 'lifeline' of western Maharashtra, and northern Karnataka, was 'neglected' by the subsequent Congress Govt. It took, a 'son of soil', Mr. Y.B. Chavan, to make this line 'Broad gauge' only in 1971!!! From the past 50 years, this area, is arguably, most expensive piece of land, in India( Economically, Fertile Soil, Vast Industrialised)!! National Highway running from Pune to Bangalore is almost six lane!!! But, from, 1971, no development was done, in this rail line!! After 2014, Modiji took an initiative to make this line double + electric, but I think, because of COVID, that project too is yet to complete!!! I firmly believe, because of 'Lack of apathy ' by subsequent Congress Govt. This railway line got so 'Backward' that even in 2022 it's not complete!! Bad, but true!!
