- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- Day 1 of a "Day by Day" series fishing with Patagonia Trout Outfitters near Esquel, Argentina and Jermonimo Canton and his crew. This was my first day and I fished the Rio Grande which is right in front of the Chalhuaquen Lodge. We had some pretty good fishing and found some good rainbows.

Bucket list . Nice fish right along the fence love the chip shots
Thanks, it's been a dream of mine to get on that river!
I watch a few channels devotedly. Because I find entertainment, education, and most importantly to me, a good vibe. You never disappoint.
Thanks Dave! Love what I get to do. Share fly fishing with all my heart and we make sales as a bi-catch.
10:13 lol this is chaos. a good kind of chaos. very entertaining thanks!
Thank you, always a good time despite some clumsiness.
I see video title…hmm…Joe is on vacation fishing near the border to Mexico. 🤔 Hahahaha!
Excellent video, Joe. That looked like a lot of fun!
Thanks, I had a great time. Super trip.
I’ll be trying the Chernobyl rubber legs hopper dropper this summer on the Madison!
Great Day 1 vid Joe.. Thanks for sharing.. Marcos just muscle hauled that Brown to the net man.. That was great! Looked like it was a great time.. Keep em coming.
Appreciate the watch, glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks bro, now I have to plan a fishing trip to Argentina cuz it looks so epic lol. BTW, @6:30 would have been nice to see the fish in the water. Does your camera have a polarized filter? You should get one. Great vid, have a great trip & fish on!
I don't have a polarizer, I'm a hack ahahah!
You need a net with a longer handle shippers 😊
Great video, what fly line were you using on the Orvis helios?
RIO Bank Robber, really like that line for pitching big flies in the wind. redsflyfishing.com/products/rio-premier-bank-robber-fly-line
Looks awesome! What were your thoughts on the Helios D?
Very fast, really like it for when I was leaning into casts in the wind but a bit on the fast side to be my #1 go to for multi purpose trout fishing.
Took me a while to realize you weren’t in New Mexico
Oh yes that could be confusing, there are probably a dozen Rio Grande rivers.
What go pro are you using?
That is a DJI Osmos 4 Action Cam.
@redsflyshop I figured. That quality was way too good for a gopro.
Lol...get out your green worms for under the willows...gusano verde
What regular guy can afford this crap?
I'm not sure what to say.
I'm a regular guy...been to Argentina 3x...most I paid per day for an independent guide was $200 and found a small lodge with food...was $55/night..
Did you try a willow grub? I know they have that hatch in South America the way we do in New Zealand.
I did not, that's the first time I've fished tight to the Willows like that. Next time I'll be sure to have a couple.
