I wouldn't dispute that chorus went out of style for quite a while, but it definitely wasn't because of Nirvana. There is tons of EHX Small Clone on Nevermind. It's a huge part of Kurt's sound on that album. That just struck me as an odd thing to say.
Haha, yeah, I think we got our wires crossed there. Nirvana, STP...a lot of those bands loved chorus. But it didn't last forever. There was definitely a time in my early days as a working player in the mid-2000s/2010s where chorus was considered NOT cool! 😆
It was probably Korn that killed off the wack'd Chorus sound. Not too many metal bands jumped in the wave pool after they perfected their signature tone. Glad more tasteful guitarists came along and rediscovered that slow lower Chorus is the win. Bassists too love a good Chorus pedal. It can "fix" a bad room with lots of nulls by virtue of the delay line shifting those frequency null spots out of the corner. And it gets a nice faux-Fretless tone on some Jazz tunes when dialled in just so. Comment below if you're a bassist that loves their Chorus! 👍😇
Damn, the guitarist is so creative and musical. So many interesting riffs, nice melodies and really clever chord progressions. He’s a real musician, not like 99 % of all the demo-makers here on YT who just play blues scales over and over with zero creativity or originality. The pedal sounds amazing too!
I can not wait for mine to arrive! Ive been wanting one of these since u teased it before it was released. Im so glad i finally decided to try it out. Amazing design.
In addition to complimenting you on the sound of your pedal and the quality of this demo, I must express my appreciation for the excellent mix of this video. Far too often productions like this are mixed with the narration much louder than the audio from the equipment we are all interested in hearing, leaving the latter somewhat flaccid and underwhelming in comparison and necessitating awkward volume rides throughout. Thank you for your attention to this particular detail and may your example be noted by all others in the field!
An up close camera shot of the pedal would’ve been helpful. Anyways can’t wait to get mine in the mail. Great chorus! Can’t wait to compare it to my Ce-1 , Ce-2 and Helix chorus tones. Should be fun.
Dang, after almost pulling the trigger for a Vibe Machine V3 just for the Chorus , I stumbled upon this video. Glad I did, just bought this through American Musical a moment ago. Genius for creating so many options. The rack mode is my favorite.
Vibe Machine isn't a chorus pedal. It's univibe and vibrato effect pedal. It's an easy mistake to make cause every univibe pedal says chorus on it :D. I have one
The best pedal before this came out was the only Shiva - lil chorus and the wave which was the reproduction of the famous Dytronics stereo CS5 tri chorus than later on fulltone came out with the TERC 80s tri chorus.
I own both this and Synaesthesia. Synaesthesia is great too. It’s a digital 2-layer multi-fx. So, you can have (for example) a phaser and a chorus at the same time. It sounds excellent, very clean. However, I’m a chorus nut (i fell in love with the analog chorus in the Juno 60). I’d say, the New Wave is great if you really want the best dedicated stereo analog chorus. Synaesthesia is quite clean and a bit precise/digi-sounding, chorus is great on it, but not quite as chunky or retro, as this one. It depends what sound you like. Hope that helps

Is it possible to set the tempo by external footswitch or midi?
I'm looking for something that is more retrowave or synthwave appropriate which is more heavy 80s synth. This sounds like it is emulated after a 70s sound more. Any chance of an 80s style pedal in the future?
If you mean, later 80s, digital-sounding, there are tons and tons of digital sounding chorus. But most 80s artists were using analog chorus from Boss/Roland. And that’s what this emulates.
But the biggest problem still is that most of the production companies won't do you again those rack units because the components and those chip sets are really expensive and not worth the hussle
@@Lvkkie Just sounds like your playing underwater!!! I love chorus but I like a Def Leppard type chorus. I'm sure it's a great pedal but some of those sounds are too much and useless. Never could stand that Rotary sound.
What an immaculately designed pedal. As a fellow chorus nerd, this was a complete joy to listen to.

I read that the small clone was Kurt’s favorite pedal.
Come as you are completed chorus on guitar. There was no need for any more after that.

I was all finished with my pedalboard! WHY have you done this to me?!? Amazing, you big jerks. Beautiful, great work. 👏
I'm almost done. I've been looking for the perfect chorus😅. Right on time!
I use the chorus mostly on my synths with no effects. but it sounds juicy and lush on the guitars too.
JACKSON AUDIO, Add in the Dytronics CS-5 tri stereo chorus and other tri chorus pedals rack mounts to get those 80's clapton and michael landua tones
I love the chorus effect big time! Is there one for Bass Guitar? I'd love one.
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤🤍
It's stereo now! Holy cow it sounds freaking amazing.
Congrats you guys! Knocked it out of the park with this analog beauty! I won't feel so pressured to keep firing up my giant Landau rack to track now!

Sounds salubrious, great pedal!
Mr. Jackson, you are making some fantastic pedals. Much appreciated.
Sounds great and versatile
The rack mode is incredible!
Cool, finally…. I’ve been waiting for this one.
I just got the 1484 and I love it so much. I hope to get this one soon.
Stonner/doom music is bringing pedal back. chorus, mods, etc...
What a great sound! Really stoked to play this!
Would a voodoo labs pedal power voltage converter work to power the pedal to get the 18v?
The pedal is nice ... but tell us how you like that Shadow Hills Compressor not so subtly positioned in the shot behind you.
Sold.

Where can I download the firmware update? as I am having power issues with this pedal.
Give me this, plus the Fuzz... Red & blue for endless hours of fun
Can this be used in mono too?
Holy shit. I need this, like rn. Lol loveee it
Damn I really love your stuff guys!
Thank you!
Buying this pedal, side note. He sounds exactly like Danny McBride

I prefer low rate and moderately high depth on my Boss Ce-2 Mij

How is it with line level input from synths?
it's great! We have trimmers inside to set input and output levels. ;)
☝️ i/o trim control?!?! BRILLIANT. This one is a must-have chorus. Demo sounds excellent.
Hope someone makes a comparison video VS Strymon Mobius and GFI Synesthesia

Not by external footswitch but yes via MIDI
Beautifully designed, but Andy Summers used an Electric Mistress flanger, not a chorus.
He also used Boss chorus. A lot.
Can it flange?!
dunno but almost sounds like an auto wah a couple times

Also, this pedal literally has an "80s" mode. Check out the demos.
It seems tonally dark to me
Did dude just say Nirvana didn't use chorus?
I read quite a few bad reviews on this pedal that it's hard trying to find the right 18V power supply to make it work.
We actually ship the pedal with it's own 18V power supply and it's working great.
Jackson were very nice about including a power supply. It sounds great.
But the biggest problem still is that most of the production companies won't do you again those rack units because the components and those chip sets are really expensive and not worth the hussle
And if you get a vintage one and the chips die, nothing you can do
Looks like it would be an 80s style rather than 70s
Very Good sound, but poor quality!I hope you can revise it as soon as possible, and I will buy it again.
