  • So this is part one of this Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland table. I wanted to slow things down and try and explain a little more than I usually do. I hope this helps!

    I’ve decoupaged forever and never used poly. I’m definitely going to try it! Have you done a video on how to print on tissue?
    Love this project!

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  2 роки тому

      Thank you! And yes, poly is my favorite medium for decoupage. I haven’t done a video on tissue paper, but I have one on newsprint paper as it’s still pretty thin but a little more sturdy. Printing on tissue paper is a bit more finicky, but it can still be done. ua-cam.com/video/vuadOtSml6E/v-deo.html

    Totally fun, unique & beautiful! The audio, at times, isn’t clear. I wasn’t able to understand where you got your decoupage picture & paper. Would you please share that information? I can’t wait to watch part 2 now😃. God Bless & keep posting your work

    EXCELLENT! I think this is very charming. I am looking forward to seeing the next segment.
    Since earning a downpayment for your new house is your motivation, have done or can you do any videos on the business portion of your work? That is, how you price and market your final pieces.

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much! And I do want to do a business break down in the future once I get things more streamlined. I feel like I don’t quite have things where I want them to be yet and I don’t want to give advice that is subpar or lacking.
      I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

    Wow this is amazing. .have you thought of selling those Decoupage papers. .I Know I'd definitely be interested in buying some. And this table is Sooo Beautiful and I wished I Had the Same printer haha....maybe do a slower tutorial on the painting the paper video. You're very talented ❤️👍😊

      I’ve been thinking about selling them, just on the fence. Perhaps when my channel grows a little more and then I can do a bulk order of them if there are enough people who want them.

    One more question . . . Can you tell us where you get your paper and what the specs are, ie weight, size, etc? I'm seriously thinking of experimenting with this technique.

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 роки тому +2

      The tissue paper I use is literally the large pack of white tissue paper from Costco- nothing special. I just cut it to the approximate size of my printer paper and tape the edges around and down then send it through. The newsprint paper is a little easier because it’s a bit thicker. I have a drawing pad of it and can send it through without issue. There isn’t a weight on the pad anymore (I’ve had it for years), but I found a link on Amazon for a ream of it already in the standard paper size -
      School Smart - 85250 Newsprint Drawing Paper, 30 lb, 8-1/2 x 11 Inches, 500 Sheets www.amazon.com/dp/B0042SSUS0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EV7WYYCSR89WR52RWRJR
      I’ve never used it, but I’m sure it would be similar as they all say newspaper and you just want a thin paper to work with. I think the end result with tissue paper is better, but it’s more difficult to work with. The newspaper paper is way easier, but since it’s a bit thicker, you can see a transition line if you don’t do extra work to blend it in. I use both all the time. Sheesh, that was long winded! I hope it helped and answered your questions.
