    I was prediabetic and put on a very low carb diet months ago. I was losing almost 2lbs a week without working out and also never feeling hungry. A few months ago I decided to start lifting weights and running. I noticed I was getting extremely fatigued by noon and would get heart palpatations. Everyday I was getting notifications from my smartwatch that my stress levels were very high. It only clicked two or three weeks ago that my diet wasn't enough for my body anymore. I was experiencing a lot of the things you mentioned in this video. Thankfully my body fat % is low enough now that I was put on a maintenance plan with more carbs. Very informative video!

      Yes, great point! You leveled up your activity and now your body needs more food to fuel recovery/performance. Happy to hear your body fat is in a healthy range now and you are on a maintenance plan.
      Keep crushing it with your fitness!😁

      I was doing the same for a year but with high carb/low fat diet.
      It worked and got off medication within 1year (-45kg), but when I started to lift weights -1Kg/week diet is a no go. Impossible.
      You will body recomp in maintenance, just trust the process 😉

    Hey, I am eating about 1800 calories per day. Currently weigh 199pounds, 5ft 11in tall. I have not lost any weight in the 2 weeks of calorie deficit and 4 days of strength training per week.
    I have not lost weight though i do experience some of the signs you mentioned from time to time.

    Great video :
    Few days ago I craved for sugar like hell and I was eating rice pudding madly.
    Then I increased my healthy whole protein centered meals and now i no longer crave for sugar.
    Instead of eating 2 kg of rice pudding I just include one tablespoon of sugar in my tea or coffee and thats it my body does not want sugar anymore
    Totally quitting of anything will starve your brain and you body always wins when it comes to survival.
    why it happened as i am do heavy intense strength training 7 a week and 12000 to 15000 steps daily i am high active .

      You maybe weren't eating enough, which resulted in higher cravings. Increasing your protein intake seems to have helped in curbing the cravings! So keep up the good work :)

    I’ve been trying to lose weight for over 2 years. I eat around 1,200-1,300 calories a day but haven’t been losing weight. I think I’ve messed up my metabolism! Any advice??? Also great videos! Super informative 😊

    How can I use your deficit formula if I have hypothyroidism?

    • @iWannaBurnFat
      @iWannaBurnFat  3 місяці тому

      Hypothyroidism generally does reduce your daily energy expenditure. So I would stay closer to the lower end of the deficit formula (10 kCals per pound of goal weight).

    What’s my maintenance I’m 5 9 30 years old I walk 20k steps and go gym 4 to 5 times a week my weight is 180 lbs thx

    • @iWannaBurnFat
      @iWannaBurnFat  3 місяці тому

      Calorie needs can vary widely across individuals. But a good general maintenance guideline for someone with your activity level is 15 calories per pound of your goal weight.
      So multiply your goal weight by 15 and that's your estimated maintenance :)

    I only eat 1.5k for four weeks now while propably burning around 3k.
    I didn't have any side effects yet, finger crossed.
    Was actually pretty full most of the time.

    Great info but you don’t need to always refer to science…

    • @iWannaBurnFat
      @iWannaBurnFat  3 місяці тому +8

      Thanks! If the information I am sharing comes from a scientific study, I will mention that study as a source💪🏼😁

      @@iWannaBurnFat Sure but we trust you, we don’t really have the opportunity to know which study so it simply sounds weird to often hear the ref to a study with an image of something quickly vanishing. Actually you have experienced and learnt all that stuff over time, which seems to me to be valuable enough. Best

    • @iWannaBurnFat
      @iWannaBurnFat  3 місяці тому

      Thank you for that, yes makes sense! I see your point that the studies are often shown briefly.
      It's a tough balance trying to show each study, while also keeping the video short/informative. So good to know that it may not be needed to show the underlying study all the time.
      Appreciate you and have a great day!

      Please keep citing the studies, that is truly educating your community. Sure some may never read the study or are too poorly educated to understand the study but you are showing your professionalism. Please don’t dumb things down, there are plenty of people spouting off “information“biased on their personal beliefs rather than evidenced based information.
