First off, Paul, I killed my bull this year because I had listened to you on a podcast. You were talking about the nervous grunt and what it meant and what to do. I was stocking a herd of elk on December 4th. knowing it wasn't prime time to make it work, I was cow calling sparingly and breaking branches trying to fit in, they were 60-100 yards at different times but not in sight. The bull did the nervous grunt at me right after I cow called and broke a sick. I advanced fast returning the call. We went back and forth 3-5 times, then I ran out of cover and hear he came out at 64-yards, no shot. It appeared he was going to follow a brush line down to me so I let him come until he hung up, I broke sticks loud and threw the pieces behind me, he was indecisive. I held him in there for 5-10 min. then just before I thought it would be over soon he presented me a 68-yard shot and I took him out. I may have not done all the right things, but you gave me the confidence I needed to make some noise and I had a good idea of what was going on. Thanks, Paul. I bought the app right after the hunt and man I been having fun with it. I have been watching other peoples videos and I can tell when they are going to blow it and when they are going to get the bull in range by using the app. They get one to answer, I pause and do the homework on the answer they got and what you say to do and then push play and I can call if they blow it or they get it in range.
