Since it wasn't mentioned in video, the official ruling that allows Grist to be your commander--straight from WotC--is that it's static ability that allows it to also count as a 1/1 insect creature in addition to its other types when it's not on the battlefield also functions during deck construction. This fact is too hilarious not to make note of.
Really underrated channel keep it up! Love the deck, just pulled Grist and I’m going to take apart Muldrotha to make him, since Muldrotha always makes me a target.✌🏻
Nice Pull!, if I was planning on upgrading this a bit further i would think of cards like patriarch's Bidding, Haunting Voyage, Kindred Dominance and (maybe not too budget) Liliana, Dreadhorde General as my first picks.
@@chickencoupdetat4709 Crucible of worlds would be a good include, with Grist's self mill our lands will end up in the graveyard so this works well, ramunap excavator also for a budget version.
Hi I’m new to magic but I got this card and wanted to try to make a commander deck with him. I wanted to ask if pyre of hero’s and maskwood nexus would be good additions to the deck or not. The idea being if everything is everything due to maskwood nexus then we could use pyre of hero’s to search for bigger creatures quickly.
Those are both good cards to include. In this particular deck the maskwood Nexus wouldn't be needed but if you built a deck built around the graveyard self mill then those cards work really well together.
Get a better and larger speaker. You know, like the ones used to warn a country of an attack like they used in WWII. Just plant it on a 10 acre lot, turn up the volume, and problem solved. That's what I did, and it worked great until I ran out of money to pay for the 10 acre lot, the electricity bill and maintenance of the 4 story electrical generator, and the constant fines for being a public nuisance for the noise. It was good while it lasted tho, and it definitely helped me hear these videos easier.. I hope this helped you my friend. Let me know if this plan works out for you too. Have a great day,!
I'm glad you liked the video. Normally you would be right, but the commander rules committee have confirmed that this is a legal commander. Official rules as to why should be out soon.
@@PassingPriority oh that’s amazing news! Is that because he counts as a creature unless he’s in play? That way he is in fact a legends art creature which fits the criteria?
That is correct, it's the new rules update 113.6c. which can be found in the recent updates here. magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/comprehensive-rules-changes-2021-06-18
The thing is about Denzel Washington is his way of acting seems very very real
Love the deck , and I also love how budget friendly it is.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Insects are currently a really budget tribe and hopefully the commander will drop in price to make the deck even cheaper.

Thanks, that's great to hear. Muldrotha is a scary commander to face down, similar reasons why my meren deck got taken apart.
Great vid. Affordable and fun deck!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed.
I love this kind of video, you got one new sub!
Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed.
Definitely thinking I'll build this after pulling Grist! Any budget upgrades you'd consider?

Phryxian altar
Good call, and pitiless plunderer would help with the aristocrats.
@@PassingPriority would you ever include crucible of worlds in a deck like this?

love the decklist, but where did you find the eretta on symbiotic beast being an insect? i cant find any rulings on it
If you search got symbiotic beast in gatherer or scryfall you will see it's type listed as insect beast.

Hey thanks!!!! I have some great ideas!!!
No problem, glad you enjoyed.
Ok is this for commander or Standard
All my deck techs are for commander.
Too quiet.
I'm on a Samsung, 4/10, 5/10, 10/10 volume.
Speak up champ.

I love the deck idea and the video but planeswalkers can’t be commanders unless they specifically say so on the card
