Believe it, or Not. Debbie Allen was, the dancer who I idolized. Because I was a dancer. I follower her career from the age of nine Until I was 16teen. Then I was given a chance to perform at the great: Julia of art in New York City. But back then; Some parents did not allow such freedom. But I will always idolize Debbie Allen. She is a fabulous dancer.
great video! even though i am not a dancer myself, she is one of the few people who inspires me to get better at my own art and to keep improving, practicing and working on my technique and skill. debbie has been in the business for over 40 years and can do it all. she is an inspiration to many people, especially those with an interest in the arts.
They need to feature a movie and documentary on Netflix and Amazon prime about her dance struggles and achievements. I have seen other ballerina stories as the first black but Debbie Allen has a story and testimony that's too big to fit in this short video. Though I'm grateful for the video and it offered some great info, she needs and deserve a much bigger platform. Debbie Allen truly is dance queen and legend!

The very school that rejected her , gave her an honorary doctorate...now that's what's called coming full circle
