If you want to make your own square from a casting. Tell Clark I said hello.

I like that Ox Tool shorts are 8 min, not 30 sec like everyone else's ; )
I like that they are not actual shorts, that is the most annoying format out there
Tom, outstanding! Of all the ones that bought one, yours is the most innovative by far. Thanks for sharing and hope this makes someone very happy👍
Hey Clark. Glad you liked it. That is some fine grade cast iron you do. The casting was superb.
Cheers,
Tom
True American craftmans ☝️🙏😇
@@oxtoolco thanks for the compliment Tom👍
@@oxtoolco you asked what we think of the tool you made out of it. I think I would be interested in buying one. I’m not up to making one right now.
This video has all the Ox Tools traits: artistry, silicon bronze and lapping. Can’t wait till the full version comes out.
There was however no filing. I am disappoint! :P
That verse comes in at one of the greatest hair raising crescendos in all of music.
The Tool quote at the end got me! Now I know you're one of my people!!!
The makers mark was a heck of an added touch!
The makers mark was a heck of an added touch
I appreciate the Tool quote 🤘 (in addition to the fine tool making ;)
This video had everything, it even inspired me to put some Tool on my playlist for old times sake.
@@nefariousyawn Fine decision sir. I am not adding it to mine, TooL is my play list.
@@ew4395 Same 😁
Fine tool making capped with fine Tool quotes. Awesome start to my day off. I tips me coffee at you Gov.
I sure do love all the UA-cam content out there today, but I really miss an actual machinist making UA-cam videos. Now it’s all UA-camrs who make machining videos. There’s a place for both, but hot damn I sure do love your content. And always will. 👍🏾 thanks Tom.
wow - i love being able to see your drawing and writing from your side of the bench!
Moving and more videos? You're too good!
Wow!!! Thanks for sharing! That’s crazy!!! Crazy great!!
If you ever pass through Mississippi to visit Windy Hill, stop by my shop, I’m only 35 miles away! Many talk smack about Mississippi, but it’s quite a beautiful state, the best kept secret in the country. The nicest, smartest, most hospitable folks you will ever meet, and we are tough as nails.
Awesome! Best of luck on your move to the new shop. Being on your own land like that is a great feeling. I commented this on a previous video, but REALLY get a tractor or a skidsteer. They make property maintenance SO much easier. You wouldn't need a big tractor, a compact (not sub-compact) would be PLENTY for most stuff.
Something along the lines of a Kubota L40 series would do him justice. Don't be brand specific. Just find the easiest dealership to get to and find a model that fits your needs. A good relationship with a great dealer is more important than brand loyalty.
@@jameslmorehead Right. If going for a newer machine, definitely pay attention to what your local dealers are like. If it's something older, just focus on parts availability and easy of maintenance.
amenities that the new stuff has, but it's simple and generally very reliable. My experience with new equipment is that most of your problems are going to be emissions or otherwise electrical related and if they aren't, it's something needs to be replaced, not just repaired.
You must have been in the same mechanical drawing classes as I was back in the early 70's!
I love your precision 👍
Boy you sure can freehand some isometric drawings👍 Not to mention the curves and ellipses 😄 pretty cool
Nice video! A little bit of everything with s whirlwind tour.
Beautiful
The master of metrology cutting a length of material with an angle grinder = Priceless 🍻
Ox tools listening to Tool. Love it :)
Great work.
Nice work Tom!
'happy cut', the bob ross of cut's
Lol you draw free hand really well! I always start out with rulers and drawing tools, but end up free handing and bozo the thing.
Excellent format Tom and nicely edited down. gonna listen to some Tool in the shed now.
I'm drooling over this.
I love this. Always a pleasure to see your work product.
Excellent
Great Job Tom, Cool video
Oh, you tease!
Long version when?!
Good Stuff. Thanks Tom. Good luck with your move. Sounds epic.
I did not expect to be completely engrossed in this video. Mad skills!
Great job, glad to see that low profile version is getting some use.
Beauty!! That will make someone's tool box very happy!
So glad you are back in the shop making videos, can't wait for the extended version. Hope the move doesn't slow you down to much, although a move of this magnitude is bound to cause some disruption to production. I hope the move is safe and as low stress as possible. Oh, very nice square, I promise I will give it a good home.
Take Care and Stay Safe.

i want it now!wish i had the time to make one. awesome video as always

A machinist and an artist 🎨 I like the happy cut reference!
Great video Tom!
Pure artistry as always. Would love to get that beauty to aid the Great Escape.

Nice work!!
Good show Tom, thank you...
Nice project.
Thanks for the video Tom.
WOW Very nice. slick engineering.
That was awesome!!
Neat tool. Also, Vicarious is one of my favorites
👍 another finely crafted ox tool.
Well done Tom !
No guard no gloves ….I like your style lol . This is true engineering
You have good taste in bands, as well as tools.
Awesome
Tom's a TOOL fan! Knew I liked this guy for some reason,,,
I have an old Federal that is similar, but smaller. It has a knife edge on the front like you did, possibly you have even seen them, it was one of the more common designs in days of lore.
Beautiful 👍
oxtoolmaking ... beautiful!
Very nice , see ya in Arizona Bay eh!
now thats a nice tool to have !!
That's really cool. I never saw a video finishing up the composite square, what happened to it?
I would have liked to see more of the grinding process, but other than that, great video as always!
Hi Tom,
The one that is surviving is not alive. he sees the universe as hostile.
Unaware of being the universe, he lives in the small world of his personality.
An open mind has given way to gullibility.
Again and again he bumps his head against reality.
For the universe wants to awaken him.
Greatings, Jaap.
Nice, short and tasty. A great little piece of short bread. ;-)
Love it.
Ooh
Concerning your ending quote, "They"never mentioned the root of the problem nor the desire to fix it. Making them part of the problem.
A friend of mine was the band's (Tool) road manager, they went through a period where they all carried small ball peen hammers and would bop
each other at unsuspecting moments. After a while the damage count rolled up to a point where offending objects had to be confiscated....
Great work, Tom! Makes me want to build my own, or maybe I can win that raffle? Who knows 😂😂
Another cool Ox Tool.
‘Credulous at best.’
I’m still trying to parse that.
i sure need one. just cant make one yet...needing bigger shop to get milling machine first..and maybe surface grinder too...nice job tom.greetings from finland...btw my name is tomi :D
Nice job Tom, where do I sign up for the raffle? ;}
That cool
Nice job! But, I like the video because it was brief, and to the point.
That is to dam cool.
I like tools and Tool. Win, win for me.
Great video format! Low on the talk, high on the machining.
What's that flat bar made out of? Hot roll?
Wow, now I have to ask myself- Do I need one? The truth is no, but it's so cool I might have to build one anyway! Just ordered one of the epic Tees and wish I could help with the move (Sunnyvale isn't that far!)
awesome
nice ..
Awesome tool. One question- how does the straight edge part that fits in the slot stay retained?
As usual great job, Where do I sing up for the raffle?
Very nicely done Tom! But where is the insulated handle?
ATB Robin
I need one, and I don't even have a machine shop
It´s a liky liky :-)
No Mr.Bozo to this square 🤗 nice one in each detail
WOW
Niiiiiiiiiiiiice 💗
Where is the link to the raffle, Tom??? :-D Would kill to own a special piece of your work.
I need a source of square truth in my duct-taped makeshift shop haha
I like the video format. Would be helpful for newbs like me if you talked a little about how and why you would use this.
That will happen in the long format. Much more detail. Cheers. Tom
How do I buy a ticket?
That’s cool
Cool, what was the dial indicator?
