Congrats on the new set! Looks amazing! A bit of glare in your glasses, a tiny bit of echo, nothing to dramatic. I miss seeing the top of your kallax with these giant miniatures, and light effect! This background is "too neat" :) hahaha! Keep up the good work!

About the echo, you are correct, there is still echo but less than last time, about the light I don't see any different.

You can hand some sound blankets behind the camera for echo also if you have rigs or carpet or not.
Moves are such a pain but so nice as a way to throw out junk!

Congratulations on the move and your larger basement studio/office/game storage/play space. The unwritten rule is that when you move into a new home, you should have all of your boxes unpacked within the first year. No pressure or guilt prior to that point. It's been mentioned by others in their comments, but I agree that the left side back fill light is a bit hot and there is some echo, but much better than your previous (first) video you posted from this space. And if you do opt for the 4x4 kallax in order to display your gizmos and gadgets, you might also consider showing off your gee gaws, tchotchkes, and knick knacks there. Enjoy your settling in and customizing your game cave. I look forward to your posting a tour video.

Personally I always prefer the space behind your shoulders/head to be empty-ish so there is less busyness in the frame. Although having stuff either side of you is good visual interest without feeling cluttered. That 'new studio' space you had a month or two ago for a few videos was starting to look great. Just my insignificant opinion 😊

Love that you have more space! If you wanted some opinions, I think the boxes behind you (specifically over your right shoulder) seem to reflect the light on the harsh side. Maybe it’s the light, or maybe it’s the color scheme of the boxes (heavy on the yellow). Right side looks great.
Bring your wife back for the couch videos! It will be just like old times!
Sorry, we've been divorced for awhile now. Not something I felt comfortable doing a large public announcement on but there has been a reason we haven't done videos together in a long time.

Good to see you're slowly but surely getting things organized. Enough critiques have already been posted so you have an idea what needs some attention. Yes, there is a slight echo, but as you said, the place is still half empty. All told, the new studio will be magnificent.

What Kallax is that behind you? It's not the standard all squares it looks like.
You can always zoom out and get the top of the 5x5 in the same shot.

The wall of board games on the back looks a little stressful though. When you have time, maybe do a left to right color gradient based on the box color would help?

Your lighting looks great! Much better than the lighting you had in your last place. The natural(?) light makes it looks like youre now a free range board gamer rather than a caged-in-a-dungeon board gamer.
Alex.congrats on the changes. Your lighting for your left is more dark, also lighting is constantly bouncing off your glasses and your left eye disappears. A little bit of echo, . As far as background it presents an imbalance feel on the brain with the split just off to your right and it makes the shelf line appear not straight….it may be the way the visual is processed . You may want to use darker boxes behind you as you appear more yellow like the current boxes behind you
Camera is doing some weird things changing focus between yourself and the board games. Most noticeable with the logos on the corner of Deep Rock Galactic.
All looks and sounds good apart from a bit of echo which you mentioned. One thing will never change, Alex will say “over here” or “over there” about 300 times per video 😅😅😅
Looks nice! I think if the games weren’t cut off, it would look better. I’m sure you know that already though. Also, the 4 x 4 shelves could fix that too. I’ve been here for years, so I do remember your old couch videos haha. Would be cool to see those again, but updated with the quality you produce now!
Congrats on the bigger / new studio space. I'm guessing the house above it is bigger as well and that's always nice when you have kids in the house! As far as lighting, I think it is a little bright/hot. Also could use a little color to maybe tone down the stark white. I'm not in video production though so those are just how my eyes see it and not professional advice. 🤪

Love the off the cuff videos. As for the new set. Lighting and atmosphere is definitely darker and less welcoming. Camera right, your left side is definitely darker. The lighting is much paler. Like you are using natural light instead of soft white bulbs. The table darkens the atmosphere. The dark wood combined with a dark top, creates a much darker atmosphere. The prior studio had a more golden, bright, welcoming atmosphere. Which I prefer. Dark table plus dark shelving helps darken the space. Compare that to Jenna's setup. She has light stain shelving and light table, which gives a more comfortable feeling to the space.

I agree with the comments here, a great move, congratulations, but it's work in progress. The lighting is uneven in this video, and the audio is not great, due to the cavernous space you now have
Yes, I was going to comment that I miss the more creative top level of the Kallax. The solid wall of games behind you doesn't look as good, nor as fun, creative, or welcoming. It's more dominating with the 5 high Kallax. I find the right-hand Kallax's top left corner which is just behind your head to be both ingenious (to leave out one of the interior wood shelves during construction) and also deeply disturbing because it makes it look like you've mutilated the Ticket to Ride box lid to make it appear as if it's spanning two cubes.
The light is a bit weird in this video with the top left of the screen looking washed out. You seem quieter than you used to be. Having too increase my computer volume up a fair bit to listen.
I'm surprised to learn you have 300 games in your collection, I had honestly assumed it would be closer to 1000. You're very disciplined with your culling.
Hope you'll give us a neat tour of your new studio once it's mostly set up! It would be really interesting to see all of the mess of wires that we don't normally see.
