@@uyoebyik Any social media. I only have a Meetup profile and I got inauthentic men messaging me. The two red flags were the poor English and the ultra groomed appearance of the men in the photos. @@zoeyelh Right, she did hear from him via Linkedin. However, once he started talking "romance" that's when it got stupid where she did waste her time with someone online. Pretty people use online dating too. Where do you think all these partners are? Just standing in your parking lot? They're at work or at home or occasionally traveling.
Kudos and respect for this woman. Even though she let her heart get taken by this guy for awhile, she was still grounded and intelligent enough start scrutinizing this scenario more carefully, and through her own efforts was eventually able to determine this was a sleazy, albeit relatively sophisticated scammer. Often these are not a single "guy", but rather a gang, a collection of people who put together these evermore elaborate scams . . . but at least some of the women are catching on. There's a few I've seen on this channel, but they are definitely rare but also seem to not end up sending money. I wonder what it is about attractive people that won't fall for the scam enough to send money. Maybe because they know their worth and what they deserve so they don't fall for that sort of thing easily? I'm not sure
This woman rocks! You go girl! One additiona red flag (even if this was a real person) - he hides precious stones in shipment to you (that is a crime) - he gets questioned, detained at the boarding gate (means he is on some kind of list) - one thing this woman can directly ask is - what kind of life do you lead? it definitely doesnt sound like a common ordinary life - but sounds more like a criminal. So even if real this is an unsavory character not worthy of dating.
Jacqueline was wise enough to tell that this was a scam and she approached this very cautiously. I’m glad that she’s sharing this to educate others so they don’t fall for this.
I was talking to a person for nearly two years before they asked for money. These men will go to great lengths to scam money. Never feel guilty. They prey on vulnerability.
So you talked to someone for two years and never met them??? Why would you waste so much time talking to someone who you have never met in person and don't even know? That's scary...
I think they can play the long game because they have numerous victims at various stages of the scam. So they can get money from so many they can do that.
I'm so glad she didn't lose any money -- she seems so sweet! It was also great to see a guest who actually talked about something non-superficial about the scammer. So many of the victims claim they're in love, but they just talk about how attractive the scammer is. The first thing she thought of to mention was how they had a shared interest of talking about music and sending music to each other. She was looking for a real connection, not just a fantasy. I hope she finds it in a real person!

The scammer who has achieved some control over the victim's emotions plays on this. They feel responsible, guilty on his behalf and compelled to 'bail him out'. Eventually there's some kind of trauma bond, a Bonnie and Clyde mentality. This is the scammer's job after all. They are skilled in psychology and the art of manipulation. They also know one size doesn't fit all which is why they spend time scoping out and bonding with the individual victim to figure out how best to play them.

Finally someone who is intelligent. I love it. That scammer wasted all that time for nothing. I’m sorry that she wasted her time but glad she didn’t lose any money.
He bought a car, but couldn't afford to pay for a dog's operation.
Finally someone who is smart and didn’t fall for it. Bravo for you lady!
She is the first person I have seen who was smart enough not to give the scammer any money. It was a pleasure to finally find someone who would refrain from opening up her purse before she knew for sure who this person was.
As soon as they ask for money, you KNOW it's a scam.
Finally, a smart lovely lady who asks questions , does some research and doesn't fall for the Nigerian Hustle. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm 52 and get at least 2 scammers a week. I usually mess with them a little and let them think they got a sucker on the line so I waste their time lol. These dirt bags need to all go to prison for life for doing scams like this to people, especially older people who are not aware or tec savy. You guys should go traveling and go to all senior centers and do presentations on this stuff💯💯💯 Ladies always remember that a real man will NEVER ask you for money!!!!
I agree but it is not just older people. Young people fall for romance scams too. In my country there's been a couple of suicides by young women who couldn't face the fact that they'd been scammed
I got johnny depp .. john Travolta ha ha 😮 I just make loads of crap up 😅 they are scumbags
Where do you get them? I'm a 52 year old woman, and I don't get romance scammers approaching me
@@uyoebyik Any social media. I only have a Meetup profile and I got inauthentic men messaging me. The two red flags were the poor English and the ultra groomed appearance of the men in the photos. I did a reverse Google image search that confirmed the phoniness, but this was before I knew about the Social Catfish company. These romance scammers are everywhere online, even online group video games.
@Nella Vee most people can see through them straight away though
Beautiful and intelligent lady. She should have no trouble meeting someone local when she is ready.
It's that there's probably nobody local for her. Why do you think people date online? Because the local pool is small
From one Jacqueline to another… I have been through this more than once. Fortunately, I never sent money. This quite unsettling and changes the ability to trust ever again.
I no what you mean
Very smart of u
Jacqueline is a lovely lady and so glad she was able to get away before scammed. She is a very stable person who used her brain. Even though she said she's not looking for people, I hope she finds a person who really deserves a beautiful and smart lady!
She's such a pretty lady. She should meet someone in person and not waste her time online with somebody that may or not be real.
linkedin isn't a dating site.
@@zoeyelh Right, she did hear from him via Linkedin. However, once he started talking "romance" that's when it got stupid where she did waste her time with someone online. As far as meeting men for friendship online anywhere, their motive is almost always to see what they can get from you (sex or money...they'll usually try for either or both).
Pretty people use online dating too. Where do you think all these partners are? Just standing in your parking lot? They're at work or at home or occasionally traveling.
Breanne's glasses suit her well.
To Jacqueline and others: When dealing with people exclusively online, there is no such thing as "overly" cautious.
Great advice,
She is amazing, it's scary that this kind of nice and smart woman was mislead.. this scammers are dangerous to anyone.
You folks at socialcatfish are great!
These guys scam one out of 10 intended victims.
Finally someone here with something of a level head on their shoulders who isn't so desperate that they send thousands to a complete stranger!
FINALLY someone who was rational, didn't ignore the red flags, listened to her brain and not her heart, and didn't open up her pocketbook. She was not desperate to find the "love of my life". KUDOS TO YOU.😊😊😊😊
“I don’t need a car, I have a car”. This is why I love being British. Many of us are very to the point. 😄
Seeing that she didn't give any money, It's like when Gordon Ramsey actually liked a restaurant's food on Kitchen Nightmares.. a rarity! 🤣
She’s a rock star!!!! So glad she didn’t fall for the scam!
What a lovely, intelligent woman. She followed her heart but took her head with her. I hope she finds the love she deserves.
The first attractive woman I’ve seen being catfished.
Oh, so only ugly people get scammed? Get real.
Exactly!
She's British, what did you expect lol
There's a few I've seen on this channel, but they are definitely rare but also seem to not end up sending money. I wonder what it is about attractive people that won't fall for the scam enough to send money. Maybe because they know their worth and what they deserve so they don't fall for that sort of thing easily? I'm not sure
@@nicoledoubleyou yeah, this makes sense
This woman rocks! You go girl! One additiona red flag (even if this was a real person) - he hides precious stones in shipment to you (that is a crime) - he gets questioned, detained at the boarding gate (means he is on some kind of list) - one thing this woman can directly ask is - what kind of life do you lead? it definitely doesnt sound like a common ordinary life - but sounds more like a criminal. So even if real this is an unsavory character not worthy of dating.
More reasonable guests like this please.
This lady is a class act -- beautiful and SMART. Way to go, lovely ma'am. Thanks for sharing your story.
They where playing the long game I probably would have fallen for it
@@abeltesfaye_ nowadays a lot of people have online friendships that last years and dating online is pretty normal too
TWO YEARS omg. What excuse did they give? What, aside from them asking at all, set you off that it was a scam?
I'm so glad she didn't lose any money -- she seems so sweet! It was also great to see a guest who actually talked about something non-superficial about the scammer. So many of the victims claim they're in love, but they just talk about how attractive the scammer is. The first thing she thought of to mention was how they had a shared interest of talking about music and sending music to each other. She was looking for a real connection, not just a fantasy. I hope she finds it in a real person!
It's truly sad that this keep happening. I was also scammed so i had a really great friend who is a police officer who looked into it and he federal authorities found him and was charged 20 times with id fraud theft
I'm so glad they charged him with that.thats why it keeps happening the government or the law wont do anything about it.so they just continue doing it.
@@EuleneWages4644 they keep doing it and it's all over the world. All i can say is ladies find love in you're own city or town and if you're not sure you can always go to you're local police department and ask for a back ground check. You have to pay for it but it's worth it for you're peace of mind. Military and Doctors and Pilot's are the ones these scammers use .they steal their photos and these mem the real ones don't even know it's happening. Cyber security must change. Be safe and watch out for the red flags.
@@maryann1962ify 👍👍
@@EuleneWages4644 They cant do anything if the scammers are in a different country.

A gentleman does not ask a lady for money!
Neither do real women
@@Gurra88 Have to agree with you!👍🏻
It’s up to ladies to mooch off gentlemen. 😊
Nor should a lady ask a man for money
This woman really did her research and I believe the first one I came across who didn’t give away her money. Kudos to her!!!
I would be horrified if somebody would sent me a car. Far too expensive! And gems in a car... Sounds illegal 🚩 Edit, now I know to be more careful in Linkedin, thank you!!!
Don’t share sensitive photos or information or videos and never send money if they ask without doing research and a reverse image search first . Also if they refuse to do a video call constantly that should ring alarm bells.
This, plus the fact that his happy ass was hauled off a flight because he needed to pay a FINE. This implies that he did something seriously bad. People are not fined for having forgotten to flush the airport toilet!
@@happyhermit3141 Yup it's amazing how inept these handsome successful rich guys are, right? Always getting themselves into scrapes!
I would be really pissed off. If someone’s gonna buy me a car how are they not gonna also be considerate and tell me before hand? I want to pick out my own car duh. Like I’d have to do a bunch of research with and without them and then we’d go to a dealership together, that’s the only way. I’d likely take weeks to decide on a car too.
Way to go, Jackie! And I would have called him out on asking for money for his dog and then saying he bought her a car. And that invoice has so many misspellings! “Shippment”? “Reciever”?
Yes I noticed that too!
I before E except after C! (4/6/2022)
The best thing that ever happened to me was my ex (23 years married) getting catfished!! He found a woman 20 years younger than him (much prettier and better than me), so we divorced. I ended up marrying my pastor, whom I've known professionally for many years, and I'm the happiest I've been in my life! My ex died about 1 year after our divorce all alone.
speaking ill of the deceased makes you sound mean, maybe reason he left
@@gigiarmany 😂😂😂 You're funny! He didn't leave me, I left him. Did you mean to say- maybe THE reason he left?
@@gigiarmany No it doesn't! She's just telling the truth! Good for you girl! The truth is the truth!
This lady has a brain! Yay! So refreshing to see. No red flags missed and no money lost! Good job!❤
Lol his profile pic literally screams stock photo.. but the redest of all flags is the fact that he can afford a car for idk how many thousands $$ but he can't pay his dogs vet bill for 500$
He cant afford it lol.
@Erika Mimi Millavalli 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
He is rich guy 😄
😜😝🤣👏👏👏
I knew it was an obvious stock photo from the minute I saw it!
Seems as though the Scammers have much better luck with ppl that don't own mirrors. This woman was baited big time but was smart enough to not let him 'set the hook', let alone, reel her in. So glad she ended up just wasting his time and then doing a PSA with it : )
The majority are desperate and delusional. He called me beautiful, his queen....here's my money. A fool and her/his money is soon parted.
Your comment is hilarious
The ones that hand cash over so easily seem to have had very hard times and have very low self esteem, so anyone that gives them attention, they soak it up…I feel sad for them…
Jackie used her common sense...people have forgotten common sense exists
What a beautiful soul. I hope she finds someone worthy of her.
So happy she didn't get robbed. She wasted some time, but her message will help others. Curses to scammers ☠️
This lady is intelligent and savvy. She avoided being scammed out of her money! Well done! This was refreshing to see on this channel!
This lady is smart, well grounded, articulate and quite successful in her own right. She really shouldn’t have too many problems finding someone real who wouldn’t try to scam her for money. Well done to her for not giving him a single penny!
This was very refreshing…to finally see a scammer defeated!
She is one smart cookie! Good on her for doing this!
Finally, a non-victim. She’d make a great scam baiter. We need more of these women!
She's pretty, smart and level headed. She will meet someone special and doesn't need online dating.
FINALLY! A SMART HUMAN BEING NOT FALLING FOR THIS! What a breath of fresh air! :)
Finally someone with a healthy dose of common sense. Love that for her! Also the scammer seemed to try to up his game each time he failed with her. Good effort in his end too haha
She’s Smart & Very Attractive, Scammers hate those types because they can’t be scammed . Good for her. Please do a follow up on her story. I’d love to hear she met a real man , in real life & is living happily ever after ❤
Take notes: Jaqueline is legit an attractive woman.
She's legit a savvy person.
She legit avoided the pitfalls of a romance scam.
One of the very few that didn't said "i'm very smart"
Well done love for not giving that scammer any money .
Excellent outcome. Perfect match between a bad scammer and a smart victim.
All he got out of her was her time and trust. No $$$ lost on this one.
The smartest person on all these videos so far. Not happy he wasted her time, but happy she gave him NOTHING.
she wasted HIS time from possibly scamming others lol
I 🤣🤣🤣🤣 when he said he needed money and her response was "what are you going to do" that was golden. She was not for that giving money away game
Such a polite way to say:
"You need money? That's your problem, not mine" 😂
Good for her for not ignoring the red flags. When she said that his ‘friends’ that couldn’t give him money said ‘what about the woman you’ve done everything for’, that floored me! So manipulative!
This has to be the most likable victim I have seen in any of these videos.
I am so glad, she had common sense and didn't lose a bunch of money.
She deserves to be happy.
Finally, a smart person 🙌. Nothing, but praise to this lady for not being fooled.
It's so refreshing to see a woman who had intelligence and didn't part with her money. She was great.
Not giving money to a random person online doesn't make you intelligent
Smart lady. Glad she didn't fall for the scam.
All the other victims/“victims” need to watch this video & learn from this woman 👏🏼
A very smart woman who has all her faculties. Wonderful she came forward to provide all the information of what she had done to discover she was being scammed and not send money.
Finally, someone who is actually smart and skeptical. That woman could easily get a much better man. She is both pretty and intelligent.
Idk she couldn’t identify a stock photo and also lost 1 year talking to a guy but not facetiming or talking to him on phone. Not that bright, but yeah better than other victims because she didn’t send him money and also seems like a sweet person. The real perpetrator deserves nothing but hell and seriously this scam is so obvious why people fall for it I will never understand it.
@@rach101 Relatively speaking, she is smart. Compared to other victims. I do also believe that love can cloud one's judgement. Unfortunately.
It was nice to see someone who didn't fall for the scam. Good for her!
Thank you for the 'who is' search, great info!
This woman is by far the most attractive female client as well as the most intelligent person I've seen on Social Catfish.
Good on her for being savvy and level headed!
Finally a person who questions and does research before sending him money. I'm so happy to finally have a story here of someone who does research and has a level head. Her story needs to be shared more.
This Woman is a smart cookie
More women should take note
Scammers hate intelligent women - " Just don't send any Money " 😊
Link'd In? This is the first time I've ever heard of using that platform to catfish people. Is nothing fkn sacred?
She is so well spoken, classy, intelligent and a very attractive lady. She won't have any problems finding a very nice man.
What a Super Pretty and Sweet woman. She is also very savvy and smart. I think she is going to get lots of real guys who will want to be with her. I’m so glad she didn’t give that disgusting scammer any money !!
What a beautiful lady. There's definitely a man out there, that will appreciate and love such a beautiful person, inside and out. I really hope the best for her in life ❤🥰
This is a good one! It's the first time that the victim is a normal, relatable person. All the other episodes seem almost unreal to me. I've only known one person irl who sent $100 to a romance scammer. People who send thousands of dollars to someone they have never met is completely unbelievable. I always think they are actors, hired by the show.
Finally! Someone who didn’t give the scammer money
