Best Kirin Whiskies - Kirin Fuji Gotemba Single Malt Single Cask 1995 10YO

G'day,
In today's video I review the Kirin Fuji Gotemba Single Malt Single Cask 1995 10YO #M000505 45%abv. One of my top 3 Kirin Whiskies. Recommended if you can get it at a decent price as Kirin Whisky does not usually command a premium and if you like peated whiskies.

I've had a few of these - My favorite was a 2011 bottle, which had a nice lemon oil note to go with the peat. The others I have tried sound pretty similar to this... some more licorice than others.
It's odd... I never noticed any peat in the old 18 year old. I never noticed any peat in the sanroku. So I wonder if this peated spirit was just for this series (I think distillery only?), or maybe blended into other stuff?

The one's I've had like this are all Single Casks, so not blended and not all have been peated 😎
