- Angular has a flag that will cut hundreds of kilobytes off of your bundles, improve mobile experiences, and allow you to dynamically create components on the fly. Learn about these changes and what they mean for your applications.

If you are here to know about Ivy Engine, then skip to 22:00
Absolutely loved Angular
Hey. I've been waiting for this talk to be uploaded since 6pm. Very excited about Ivy. Great work.
Always pleasant to see Stephen and Kara talk, nice one, thank you guys! Excited about the changes that happend and the upcoming Ivy view engine!
Awesome improvements to angular looking forward to use those features.
I always love listening about an Angular, talk is asm
Great vision for reducing code size, rapid turnaround and overall making aps better for users and developers.
Ivy is gonna be lit! Glad to see some performance improvements coming down the pipeline :)
Cool talk. Useful for newbies to Angular in a way. 👌🏾 Doesn’t matter what tool you use, only how you use it.
desperately waiting for Angular 8 now !!!
I love doing programming in Angular it's getting better and better u guyz are just amazing...would love to be part of development team in angular :) :)
Thank you angular for taking care of developers.
Good effort from Angular Team
Cool done. Looking forward to join Angular community at Houston area😊.
Angular is absolutely awesome
Not as snazzy as some of the big stage stuff, but changes most welcome. Ivy most anticipated :) Finally sanity on dependencies.
Thank you angular for taking care of developers.
Need an example on 10:30 though.
Looking out for the same example. Have you managed to find it ??
So thank you very much.
I so love angular!
A big fan of Angular
I love Angular and also looking forward to Ivy. i18n needs work though, just stick with ngxtranslate for now.
Personally I just use my own i18n engine. It's super trivial: create a function that will read JSON language files by giving it a path, and allow a user to select a language that select one of those JSON files. Once the file is selected, run it through another function that will map the HTML to a value in the JSON. Done.
The i18n seen in Angular docs is a crime for being so over-engineered. Apparently it's also fragile.
I came in here to hear about Angular 4, but I'm learning and working in Angular 6. My how times have changed :D
Project Ivy looks very promising!
kb - would be kiloBITS? Is my filling correct that bytes are capital B? Also, KiB (kibibytes), to top it up...
love angular...:)
Wonder what is react developer count if we use same metrics.
Angular Team, don't worry about all the hate, keep going with the framework. We love it!
Hia. Where can we get more information on the ng service schematic to autogenerate from an existing REST endpoint detailed here 10:28. Cant find it on the documentation.
Very excited about Ivy! Shame we don't get the debugging demo on the replay. When will Ivy come out ?
You can take a look at their keynote at ng-conf.

You can already enable it, but it's not feature complete yet.

How could I find the Ivy debugging demo ??
20:57 What Google exactly has wanted to do with all the JavaScript frameworks and libraries and Web Components. You write in one Library or Framework and export it to WebComponents
thankyou :)
Any tools for the NSA in this release?
I exported an angular element to include in a page in my expressionengine cms website but i get the error: SyntaxError: `` literal not terminated before end of script. Does somebody know why would this happen? I added the script to an index page locally and it worked perfectly.
Why focussing on an underrepresented groeps of speakers is a good thing?
what is a name of used color theme in 20:41?
Im a simple developer, I see angular, I click upvote!
I like angular because it is simple and makes sense. React is faster and growing fast in hiring. What is the google Angular tactic strategies to take back its share in web projects and in jobs ?
Not a lot of people attending this talk... In general, not a lot of Angular love during IO, I'm kind of surprise Google doesn't promote it more.
@@rockafromhell I recently moved from a project using knockout to one using angular. I remember last month being so excited to work with something current. That seems so long ago, now...
@@rockafromhell Talking without proof
@@ocd2222 usage statistics are proof enough no?
Angular is great technology. But why there is not that much of audience , since there are lots of developers working on angular and interested in this kinds of talks.
Because just last month there was ng-conf completely sold out just about Angular. If you're an Angular developer, you're more likely to go there then to Google I/O I'd say.
interesting
If you're wondering what has changed and how the new Ivy implementation compares to the existing, check out this article blog.angularindepth.com/ivy-engine-in-angular-first-in-depth-look-at-compilation-runtime-and-change-detection-876751edd9fd
Please replace karma with jest! And maybe even protractor with cypress.io
use NX Workspace
Guys, you need a section with academic style documentation, general development principles etc. Tour of heroes is good example but it is a specific use case. I liked Kara's part, it was a nice dive in depth but explanations for trivia ruined the experience. Kb are called kilobytes. In People don't use acronyms for the values. It doesn't sound natural. Also, localization and new animation framework are bad.
Hey GOOGLE, use your flutter.io HMR in Nativescript :-)
Ivy is actually very similar to VueJS.
Paris qian sen Sounds like it bud.
we made a mistake at 2 which we corrected at 4.. again we made a mistake at 4 which we are correcting at 8 :)
Angular is so good ..
This is (probably) not the silver bullet everyone's looking for. Don't get me wrong, I like Angular but as much as I like React or Vue. Use the right tool for the right job.
@Matthew Vue Js
Right now angular material is not stable . I am facing lots of issue while creating a components library .
The problem with Angular is the "New" things that goes in it.
I don't see how this is faster than hardcoding HTML, CSS, and JS for most use cases.
Define most use cases? If it's a simple client landing site then stick with the three. If it's more complex then you'll likely need something like Angular, if the preloads are of benefit ofc.
I love google and Angular but the new Forbes website is absolute garbage. Ads everywhere and a little video box playing in the upper left hand corner. I barely even visit Forbes anymore because of this.
Yep, so many network calls to Ad sites... uugh. Its a disgusting website.
You’d have to blame the UX for that.
I watch this video just because of Kara.
I like this girl~ I like every clever woman, including me LOL :)
I think angular should stop at interpolation. That is the only anchor point for most angular users, in my opinion. Unfortunately they didn't stop and monkey patches over monkey patches making this monster. The evil of angular in my opinion is it separated, or at least discouraged developers from raw dom access, which is the most essential and fundamental thing of the web development.
take a bow
Can't you find a different name for "Angular"?
Firebase and GCP use AngularJS ... just sayin'
They have just destroyed the existing product and made it crap: I had 3 months break from Angular. When I come back nothing is working -- everywhere there's bug. And its already 4 hours I am trying to figure out to make it work. This is painful for real.
Code Rag there haven’t been any breaking changes in over a year. Are you sure it’s not a plug-in that’s causing the problem?
Are you still facing the issues..
没有中文字幕,看不懂,哎
英文字幕看的懂吧。。。
Angular is dying, please make your best to save it,
M O M E N T U M
Maybe start by NOT introducing breaking changes?
seems not
sth new ...
Or you could just use react like everyone else...
Please stop this drama, You're going to get one version after another, it's not a son's play
Angular is still too difficult....Even Angular developers dont completely understand it.
Angular itself is super easy, managing state using tools like Redux is difficult, but that goes for every framework.
ANGULAR IS TOO DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So why does she feel the need to begin every sentence with “so”?
