I'd love to know if there's an easy-ish way to do this. I've come across several workarounds that involve duplicating that task and setting the same ones bi-weekly or something, but that's more work than it's worth. Surely Notion can come up with a way to have more control over recurring tasks with features similar to what's in other task apps, such as TickTick (which is what I currently use until Notion develops something that I'm comfortable using to replace it!)
@@jonbbradie I really only use databases for tasks, but for notes I just use pages. For projects, I started out just using pages, but the more I learn, the more I think I need to move to databases for those.
Hi! For some reason, when I change the "repeat daily" hour so that it creates the task, it won't show up like in the video. I tried changing it so that it would appear after one minute difference and it doesn't pop up. Am I doing something wrong? I really need something like this for community management tasks.
For repeat daily, make sure it says it will repeat 'every 1 days' and ensure the timezone is set correctly. At the bottom of the panel, it states the date and time of when it will next generate the template so make sure that shows correctly too :)
After watching endless videos of how to do simple things in Notion without becoming a developer and a Formula guru to only have a repeating tasks I switched to Tick Tick.
Hey, first of all, great and helpful video you have here. I just have one question, is it possible for when the task appears a notification on my phone/pc also appears?

Perfect tutorial on what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to create and share. Very much appreciated.
You're very welcome! 😊
Very helpful! Is there a way to show the recurring tasks on the calendar view BEFORE they pop up? I’d like to see the month ahead filled out. TIA!

@@CaseyHardman Work around?!?! I can barely manage working direct!🤣
@@jonbbradie Haha I understand! I've only been using Notion for a couple weeks and I'm still learning basic things.
@@CaseyHardman one thing I’ve learned from the start is to use databases. It’ll make life easier every step of the way.

As a daily notion user for about 3 yrs, I've learned to use other tools like ticktick, coda, etc that do things like this much better
Thank you so much
