KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: the Petronas twin towers + Suria KLCC | Vlog 1

- Опубліковано 18 тра 2019
- What to do in Kuala Lumpur? The Petronas Twin Towers and Suria KLCC Malaysia were certainly at the top of my list. You ride the elevator to the top floors of the world's tallest twin towers and view KL from high. So beautiful! After the tour, enjoy Suria KLCC shopping mall with a range of high-end shopping and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. Already loving Malaisia!
The KLCC Petronas twin towers are located next to KLCC Park, a beautiful park where you have the most amazing views of the twin towers. A spectacular first day at KLCC Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
In the next videos, I'll keep showing places to visit in Kuala Lumpur city and other cities in Malaysia. Subscribe to follow along: bit.ly/Renata_UA-cam

► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
Detailed answer: • How we afford to trave... 😉
P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely camera shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ;-)

Welcome to Malaysia!
Muslims in Malaysia actually very moderate and tolerance. They live together with Buddhist, Hindu and Christian since 15 century. They always celebrate the differences. Every celebrations of other religion like Chinese New Year, Wesak (Buddhist), Deepavali/Diwali, Thaipusam (Hindu), Christmas (Christian) is public holiday here. Some festival like Hindu Thaipusam is so huge here compare to hindu motherland, India.
Since you from Brazil, the Portuguese speaking nation. Some part of Malaysia were colonised by Portuguese in 1511, the first western settlers in Southeast Asia or East Asia, even earlier than Philippines. And their descendents now live among christian community. Malaysian called them Serani, but among them Kristang. BTW FYI in the historic journey of Ferdinand Magellan some of his crew are from Malacca (old Malaysia).

About clothes, KL is not just flexible for the tourists. Non-muslims Malaysian can pretty much wear whatever too.
Malaysia is much more flexible than some people are describing online... More people should visit 😍😍😍
not only non muslims, surprisingly, muslims generally can wear whatever they want
Yes. In Malaysia, we are open but if you visited state of kelantan or terengganu, you must be careful about your wear
just don't go almost nude to nude and you're good to go. haha
But still, dont wear tooo weird clothes (like bikini) but idk if thats just me

Hi Renata, im happy that you enjoyed your trip here in KL. Malaysia is kinda underrated for tourist from the Americanas. Hope you will bring positive vibes for the people from the west. Despite it is Muslim majority, other religion is free to practice here & yes, we are not strict to visitors at all as long visitors dont go beyond boudaries in order to respect culture here. You are also welcome to visit the mosque, temples to experience and witness such. Language may not be a barrier as Malaysians understand & speak basic english onwards. Malaysia offers modern living as witnessed by yourselves yet it is still things here still affordable. Enjoy Malaysian culture & hospitality! Selamat Datang!

Well said. What is your favorite place to visit?

I did a report on the towers for an architecture-like class I took and cool fact, only the first story of the bridge is open to tourists, the 42nd floor ( the other bridge floor) is for the people who work in the offices. I'm glad youtube remembered me researching for it and gave me your video so I can watch more!

Thanks again for sharing this wonderful video. It's still one of d best vlogs by foreign tourists. Malaysia has opened d door for tourists since 1 April but I'm still waiting for a better video or as good as this one.
It's really good to know that u guys genuinely enjoyed d tour on d PTT skybridge n on d higher floor in tower 2. I hear few complaints about d entrance fee n duration time of d tour from tourists nowadays. But I can only see good time from u guys. Excellent coverage.
Soon by early next year, a new skyscraper in KL, d PNB Tower, 2nd tallest building in d world, will be completed, n it has d highest observation deck in d world n I'm guessing u can see more of d KL skyline in d Klang valley where KL is situated.
HAHA, thank you 👍😍👍
Yes, we saw it partially built. Exciting for KL to add another landmark to visit. Will that make the Petronis towers not preferable to visit?
@@RenataPereiraTV Hahaha. I think Petronas twin towers will still be an attraction, because of d skybridge but I hope that d entrance fee will be cheaper. KL Tower will still be an attraction as it has d best 360° view of KL. 😁
