Hi, No, I didn't cut barrel jack plug of adapter. There was a connector that was made by me with joining of two 12 volt barrel jacks together and one barrel jack plug into motor wire.

5m as per manufacturer claim but I tested around 3 meter as published in this video that was good pressure with a little bit decresing in pressure in contrast with 3 meter floor level pressure.

But it is my recommendation that you must attach a charge controller with panel for reliable voltage and for protection from burning the motor.

Yes, Off course. 6 volt is not recommended for this motor after some time. It can burn out the motor.
