Not sure if you're gonna see this because I'm late getting here, but did you bind the edges of the backing before you started hooking this oval? All the other videos I'm seeing are saying to start with this "finishing" process and I'm just a little confused
I never do any finishing in advance. It tends to bind up the backing and I may want to make the rug bigger as the design evolves. I do however, draw a rectangle around the oval and square up the oval.
