@@tanie3543 There's many people with PCOS who are a healthy weight. The first step to losing weight is to stop believing you're a victim of your condition. Yes it might be harder but its still very possible. I would recommend calorie counting, its impossible for you to gain weight when you're burning more than you're consuming. And eating healthy doesn't matter if you're eating more than you burn per day, you could eat mcdonalds, and as long as you stay under your daily expenditure you will lose weight.

Its completely different if your healthy and check up with doctors regularly but all these sugars and trans-fats in foods are creating the same brain impulses in big people that drug addicts get when they take a hit. It's nobody's fault for being overweight but its completely different to foster an environment where its okay for addicts to keep using without any moderation or regulation.

" we need a plus size section, we have not progressed in society" just lose weight if you can't handle it. Before any of you come at me, i was morbidly obese till age 16, with the worse genetics. Both my parents were obese since birth. I still lost enough weight that i was barely overweight.
I was obese my entire childhood. At age 16 I did keto and lost 40 lbs. I already struggled with eating disorders, but having my parents tell me I couldn't even eat more than a handful of strawberries messed with my head even more. Fast forward to 18, I was extremely depressed and gained even more weight than my starting weight. After weighing 252lbs I decided to make a change because I constantly had thoughts of self-harm. Without strict diets or workouts, I lost 70 lbs in less than a year. After losing all of the weight I still struggle with my body image. And because my body has drastically changed in a year, my body dysmorphia has only worsened. It's a daily struggle but I'm trying to get better
could just be me, but I feel like you can tell hearing somebody's voice that they are obese or skinny. Not sure how to explain it, but the tone of voice is sharper and faster spoken with slender people
8:28 I loved what Derek said, not everyone wants to do it or has too. Being restrictive is HARD. And some people can spiral into dangerous and unhealthy behavior
I love how Derek felt the need to justify being skinny. Dude you can own the fact that you worked hard to live a healthier life. It’s not easy and he did it. Why does he need to justify it? I struggle to maintain a healthy life and not fall back into obesity. We should be proud of our accomplishments rather than minimize them to appease others.
I'm am a plus size girl. We don't want our own kinds of clothes, we want want he same ones skinny people wear just in our sizes. Company's for some reason don't get that.
Nothing but applause to Jubilee and the entire cast of this episode! Stories like these deserve to be shared and to grow as a society toward a more inclusive world with less external and internalized fatphobia, these topics need to be discussed and highlighted! Love this episode!
So many excuses for being obese. If you're obese, you're not a bad person, but you NEED to get into gear and start living healthy. Not only so that you look better, but also so that you feel better. Everyone knows this, but people are denying it.
Such a well done talk! I feel like they dug into more than just on the surface level things. The person that said they’ve never been thin, and find themselves dreaming about it is me. I feel like I don’t have much success on paper and I always secretly believe if I was more “commercially attractive”, I would be at a better place and having been the far girl my ENTIRE life, it was always this far away thing. This is what our society does. I shouldn’t have to dream of being thin to be taken seriously.
Poor boy trying not to get cancelled bc Ik if he played the game the whole of social media would come after him. He shouldn’t have had to feel ashamed for being the mole.
I disagree with the way Derek talked about being obese. At 13:10, Derek tells a story about how he was obese in the 4th grade and his doctor "used language that made it seem like [he] needed to change." People who are obese absolutely should try to lose weight rather than thinking it's fine to stay at an unhealthy weight that causes countless health problems.
Not tryna be mean but I don’t really think we should be normalizing people being plus sized and that’s just person opinion, it’s honestly your fault that you’re insecure about your body. You should be putting in the work and change what you feel insecure about that, and just because you think it’s hard doesn’t mean you can’t do it. I’m not tryna be disrespectful in any way but if you really feel bad about your body you should do something about it. You shouldn’t let you mind tell you otherwise
it's not normalizing it. it's bringing awareness towards it. no one ever said that being plus sized is healthy. but, there are still plus sized people that are healthy even though they aren't skinny. there are so many factors that play into it. and sometimes it's hard to change your weight because, again, a lot of factors play into it. certain health conditions can make it difficult to lose weight (hypothyroidism runs in my family so its hard for me to lose weight even though i'm active and am eating less and healthier), and there's also how fast someone's metabolism is as well. it all really depends. essentially, it's a lot easier said than done. but i do agree that if someone does truly want that change, they should work for it, but it's not their fault for being insecure. people shouldn't be made fun of for their body, skinny or not. it's extremely rude and can impact someone's mental health.
I'm a size 0 and my mom has accused me of being anorexic and I get weird comments on my weight all the time. It's nice to see the other side of the coin.

The mole's story about quitting his math team b/c of a vest size reminds me of how I quit softball because they changed our uniforms from t-shirts to tank tops. I was only in 5th grade and didn't even have 'big' arms, but was incredibly insecure about them and quit :/
🫂 I'm so sorry. I hope you've found many other activities to love, and, who knows? Maybe you could try softball again as an adult. Casual sports teams can be such a fun thing to get involved with. Hate is a very strong word. Just because she is self-assured and expresses herself shouldn’t constitute any hatred. I mean she wasn’t outwardly rude like the “that’s not vegan” chick.
Just because she likes attention on herself, it doesn't make her bad. She wasn't hurting anyone. Like another commenter said, hate is a strong word.
