“The Good Person”
Interview with the director Eitan Anner, interviewer Niki Nikitin
"The Good Person" tells a fable of a 38-year-old Sharon, an ambitious, workaholic, art-house film producer. Suddenly, she finds herself on the brink of bankruptcy and so she sees an opportunity to secure her future by making a deal with the 59-year-old Uzi - once a grandmaster of cinema turned into an ultra-Orthodox rabbi. Sharon gets caught up in a whirlwind that threatens to destroy her mentally and financially, and endangers her relationships with those she holds dearest.
The director Eitan Anner began writing and directing for Israeli television after studying at the Sam Spiegel Film & TV School. His third full-length feature "A Quiet Heart" (2016) won Grand Prix in Black Nights Film Festival. In addition to directing TV series, documentaries and feature films, Anner has also appeared on screen as an actor.
The producer Itay Akirav was born in Tel Aviv. He has produced multiple films and directed three. His films has granted him several awards and was screened at dozens of film festivals worldwide.
