The fence is installed in the wrong place the cutout should be over the Blade which most likely resulted in the damaged blade

Wow. Good catch. I had to replay it and pause and check the picture on the website, but sure enough you are 100% correct. Thank you for noticing and watching!

You need to joint the cuped face first then an edge

I noticed this as well. Perhaps the user needs to review how to properly use the tool and what it's use is for prior to using it.
I may have missed it but I didn't see any information on squaring the fence. In my opinion this machine is crap as the fence is ridiculously hard to square.
The purpose of the jointer is not as this user described. When trying to dress rough lumber you should be flattening one face, then one edge using a squared off fence. Then the lumber should be run through the table saw to clean the other edge and the planer to level the other face. Taking a jointer and cleaning all 4 edges is an improper use of the tool.

Hi there! I'm about to pull trigger on this model, just need to ask one question. Is the outfeed table and infeed table coplanar out of box? If not, is there anyway to tune it up (adjust the position and level of outfeed table). Thanks!!!

They have helical cutter heads. You should just be able to loosen the damaged cutter, rotate it 90, then tighten it back up. Each cutter has 4 sharp edges. Also... you unplugged the machine before you shoved your finger in there right?

Yes I definitely rotated the blade. Their was a small knick on the one of them. When I did the actual blade change I did unplug the machine lol

Thats not a helical cutter head - Helical Heads are slightly off square, and therea re way more teeth. These "spiral" heads are made to look like helical heads without any of the actual benefits.

Are you still happy with this jointer? Looking to buy this one but still concerned by some reviews.

Yes I love it. I have a planer and have been using this for both purposes instead. No issues at all to date.

Not helical, segmented… there’s a difference. If reviewer was a woodworker he would know.

Don't be so harsh - everyone is learning. Plus it says HELICAL right on the machine... you can't fault him.
